Great service, phone answered promptly by a polite knowledgeable person who made us aware of possible additional costs if there turned out to be no fault with the car or it needed specialist tow equipment. Excellent mechanic arrived well within the timeframe given of 1 and half hours and recharged the battery before towing to our selected garage as arranged. Having read the other reviews, we were prepared to do battle but they have obviously taken note of the negative reviews and upped their game.

This is the worst company I’ve ever used

I drove to Manchester for a concert and my gear stick broke. I called them at 10:45 and they asked me where the local garage was, I told them I was on National recovery and they said that’s what their national recovery policy means is they will tow me to the closest place that is safe. The women was extremely rude and kept cutting me off and said she’d cancel my trip if I continued to bothered her, which they told me was £120 which isn’t true it £98. At this point it had been an hour and everywhere was closed and it was a Sunday so the garage wouldn’t be open till Monday. They said it doesn’t count as an unsafe destination or high risk case. Had to pay £240 to be towed back home and customer service refused to help me and basically told me it was my fault and non of this was their problem.

Avoid them at all costs and just pay extra for green flag or AA

Do NOT use this company. I broke down at 15:00, it took me 15 minutes to get through to an extremely rude and unhelpful advisor! I’m not sure where they are based but the reception was awful on their part (my reception was fine as called numerous people and had no signal issues). It took them 20 minutes to go through my details so we were already 35 minutes in since I broke down. 1.5 hours after I called (as a lone female) I rang back and was advised by another shockingly rude advisor with awful signal that they had “still not managed to find” a recovery person to help and they would “keep trying” At 2 hours after my original call, I got a call from a local recovery company who advised they had “only just been contacted” and would send someone straight away! An hour later I was collected! 3 hours it took to be recovered! Shocking customer service with absolutely no compassion or urgency! Why did it take them 1.5 hours to contact a local recovery company? (By the way the actual recovery company were lovely)
Needless to say I will be cancelling my Roadside Assistance with this sham of a business!

My husband broke down, by sheer chance, opposite a car repair place which was closed at the time (6pm). We contacted 2gether Breakdown and gave the name of the car repair place so they could easily find us. We were in an unsafe place on a main road at peak traffic time.

We were told that they could not pick us up as we were 'at a place of repair'. They naturally offered us a paid service (going into hundreds of pounds) despite us having a premium level policy. We declined this and ended up paying for a local service instead.

Upon complaining, someone from Emergency Assist (trading as 2gether Breakdown) advised me the complaint would not be upheld and we can only go to Small Claims Court if we want to escalate.

I checked reviews of this company and all the 5 star reviews are for price but all the 1 star reviews are for the service - it appears they do anything to avoid coming out for free and will always find a way to make customers pay.

Review: Misleading Pricing & Poor Customer Service

I subscribed to this company's recovery service after seeing a one-year subscription advertised for £17.95. Before subscribing, I called to confirm if there were any hidden fees, especially for callouts. The representative assured me there were none. However, when I called for assistance weeks later, I was told I had to pay an additional £50 – not just once, but every time I required their service.

When I challenged this, I was told to "read the agreement," which I had not thoroughly reviewed, trusting the employee’s initial confirmation. This feels like a deliberate strategy, as many customers do not comb through lengthy agreements, leading to unexpected charges later.

After learning about these hidden costs, I contacted the company to cancel my subscription and request a refund of the £17.95. The manager, Anwar, refused, citing the terms of the agreement and dismissing my request to review the call recording where their employee misled me. Worse, they cancelled my policy entirely, falsely claiming my car was used as a service vehicle – an issue that was never raised at the time of my subscription.

I’ve since raised this matter with a fraud investigation department and requested the deletion of my personal data under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 due to concerns over how my information has been handled.

This company is misleading and their customer service is appalling. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs! These bandits took 10 minutes to answer my call after I’d broken down and wouldn’t come out as part of my policy. They offered to either attempt to fix my vehicle for circa £130 or recover my vehicle to the nearest garage at a cost. Absolutely pointless company

Cheap price for a reason - service is absolutely terrible!! Booked a recovery, told he'd be with me in roughly 1 hour; 4 & 1/2 hours later, no call from them, no recovery vehicle! Called to book recovery again the following day; same story, told he'd be with me shortly, 3 hours later no call, no recovery van!!

I am absolutely shocked and disgusted with what i experienced. I took out a breakdown policy due to the competitive price. 7 months later I called them for the first time and they refused to come out until I could prove to them that the battery was under 2 years old. I was stranded with a 9 month old baby on a main road. I was disgusted with the rude operative I spoke to.
