Having just bought an investment property I approached Darren Bradley at BPM in Lewes to give me a rental valuation, to help me find a tenant, take a deposit and provide a tenancy agreement for letting it out. All this was done with the utmost courtesy and efficiency by Darren and his friendly staff, the big plus being that my tenants were found speedily and came with a recommendation from the agency. The necessary safety certificates for gas and electricity were provided by reliable firms recommended by Darren, too, who shares his knowledge and experience with quiet (and very welcome) authority. I'm extremely grateful to BPM for the excellent service that I've had from them and have no hesitation in giving them my fullest recommendation.

I've recently been a tenant in a Lewes property managed by BPM for 9 years and over that period they have always treated me in a friendly and professional manner. When things went wrong/broke they fixed them promptly, they conducted annual gas safety checks, and their periodic inspections were low key and amenable. At the end of my tenancy my deposit was returned in full without any undue fuss. All told: what they do, they do well.

We're new tenants in a property that Darren and his team let to us and are now managing. They have been absolutely brilliant. It is so good to be dealing with an agency that is human, and treats tenants like humans too.

BPM were honest and fair during the process of letting the property, and now we've moved in have just gone out of their way to sort out some initial minor problems for us at the property. Not problems that were their fault, but problems they took full ownership of as the landlords' agents and just sorted for us, professionally and efficiently.

If, one day, we're lucky enough to own a property locally to rent out, I will definitely remember BPM. Meanwhile we're looking forward to our time as tenants in a property they manage.

Very bad experience wouldn't recommend at all we had a number of break ins to our property by someone with a key. Police where called and investigated Darren was unaware of the investigation.

We also had mice in the loft with one decomposed mouse. Property was a one bed 1960s small flat. The flat was in a bad way with mould,damp and infestation. We paid for the pest control but was refunded by the council after this was not paid by the landlord. I also had to get a grant to update the fuse box as the landlord refused to pay for the copper wired fixed box from the 1960s.

Property was well out dated (1960s) for environmental health needs who investigated the property and advice the landlord to update the property what was done after some pushing on our part. We moved out by our own choice as we was offered a nearly built property with more space.

Our deposit wasnt returned in full it was deducted £75 for carpet cleaning what was done before had but Darren wasnt convinced we had so to get our full deposit back we had to pay £75 for the extra cleaning then we got the full deposit back. All of the cleaning requirements were made but bpm didnt believe we had even though we spent the whole weekend cleaning the property.

I would strongly say we won't be using bpm with the experience we had but thats because of our dreadful experience.
