wow. AVOID _ CON COMPANY

Just recvd a call from this company they advised me in the small print was a £400 admin fee on a £15k loan. They also advised me that i borrowed £15k and agreed to pay another £12k interest. I advised them i 100% called them to discuss paying early and they advised me that was possible. The original loan was 6% interest but when it was completed it was 25%. So for me borrowing 15k for less than 2 years i was paying a further £7.5k.....apparently not. NO - I apparently signed and agreed to pay back £27k. I called and discussed this loan a LOT before signing up to it. My credit score wasn't terrible but i was maxed out on credit after being a consultant who didnt work during covid and buying a property just prior to lockdown. I have been well and truly robbed by this con company. They are investigating it. But we all know.......its in the small print. The fact I called and asked and checked and confirmed details doesnt matter, the day i started the application 6%, the day they offered me the loan 25%....but not really - that 25% is actually a solid £12k added to my loan regardless of how fast i pay the loan off. Lets not forget the delightful £400 admin....admin for what...seriously AVOID. This company are the well hidden loan company as bad as pay day loans for the poor they are pretending to be a financial institute. AVOID. CON COMPANY.

Ongoing issues with my mortgage with you still to this day. Logged a complaint which at the time resolved the issue. Called you this morning for an update on my mortgage balance and given totally different information to what I was given when the complaint was resolved.. had to waste my time now logging another complaint about the same issue. Caused by you! And your call centre advisers. Can not wait for my ERC on the first part of my mortgage to expire so I can redeem this mortgage with you. Absolutely would not recommend you to anyone. Worst loan company I’ve ever dealt with.

Crazy, it was going to cost me £300 more to clear the loan early on top of the principal amount after paying the loan for almost a year! What the actual… how? Why? Definitely do not recommend this company! They pry on the misfortune of others to benefit from it.

I have a good credit history and needed funds urgently for home improvements. Approved provisionally and e docs signed. Emailed them my bank statements and wage slips and was told by an underwriter that everything is fine and she will call me the next day to discuss the repayments and due dates. I rang them only to be told by a customer service advisor that my application according to notes on system has been declined due to affordability Not even an courtesy email to confirm this! Guess what i immediately got accepted by Hitachi with better rates than what these cowboys were offering. 4 phone calls and several emails later i realised the process would have been so easy if i didn't go by clearscores recommendations. Avoid at all cost. They are better companies out there and less time consuming! I wish i could give 0 stars!

I applied for a small loan to consolidate and filled out an online application, signed everything and was approved in principle.

Then came the phone call with an underwriter. After 10 mins on phone I decided against the loan with this company. I'm not going to give them 1 star as the website was professional, that is where my compliment ends.

Instead I filled out an online application withh Hitachi personal finance and was approved in minutes at a much lower rate. No I will not recommend this company nor will I ever consider using them again.

I wished I'd seen reviews before even considering this company.

STAY AWAY! Took out a £15k loan but then decided I did not need it, so called to settle in full after 19 days. They told me my settlement figure was to be £16.1k. Daylight robbery! Called 4 times in one day just to get a breakdown on the interest charged but no one could give me an answer as the figure is just finger in the air!

I was told I would get a call back within the day 3 times and at the end they asked me to file a complaint which will take 8 weeks where then I will continue to occur more interest!

Ethically this company should be audited, not sure how FCA allows companies like this to operate. I will be submitted complaints to the FCA for not providing me with the breakdown and worse of all charging me 1.1k in 19’days.

Absolute disgrace.

Why just one star? Let's start from the beginning. Looked at a car at my local dealer, asked about finance on it. He said leave it with him. He came back and said 1st stop. Everything thing went through with no problems. The loan was easy for me to afford and I had no problems keeping up with the repayment. I came into some money and payed off the balance early. I never had any need to speak to them. Then comes the crunch, the spanner they put in my works. I decided to have a look at my credit report, I could see on it the loans I have had over the years and almost every thing was in order. The one thing that let's me down is the BIG FACT 1st Stop didn't update the credit report agency with the fact that I had paid off my loan, infact they didn't update my report after the 3rd payment. So if you're thinking of getting a loan from these people DON'T they may lead to you getting a bad credit report even if you make perfect payments and make those payments on or before the right time. I phoned them and the lady seemed nice, but nothing happened, I emailed them and never got a response.

Useless… approve you then decline you the next day. Excuse was affordability but I was looking to consolidate to save money? Make sense? No! I afford £300 a month more currently. I can afford your repayments with change.. Customer adviser nice until the decline… you have no purpose, so no explanation so get off the phone attitude: Just avoid… don’t even try to apply, waste of time.
