Hard working port with hard working drivers delivering and collecting from it. It’s an awesome place to drive around and it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the ‘processes’. Don’t be - it’s got a great bunch of people working for them (including the port police) who just want to keep everything safe. Enjoy!!

I have been to the land guard point of Felixstowe many times but never at sunset. Truly a beautiful place to see the sunset on a clear night when the water is calm.

There is a large car park that is free after 6pm.

No toilet facilities available at that time, the restaurant is closed.

I will definitely visit again in the summer at sunset.

Crap 90% of the time.

Not sure whether it’s policy or the volition of individual crane drivers, but moving the crane from one place to another is an anathema to these people.

The amount of time us drivers spend waiting for cranes to move to us is a joke. Crane drivers would rather sit and wait for 5-10 mins in anticipation of another vehicle coming to that location than take 30 seconds to roll over to your location. I’ve sat waiting for nearly 30 mins now, with a crane less than 20 locations away and in that time he has unloaded 2 boxes.

The government keeps talking about productivity levels dropping but it’s not from our side. So long as Felixstowe exists in its current state, we’ll keep doing our 15 hour days.

I’ve been lucky enough to live within a stone’s throw of two major ports in SE Asia - Klang and Singapore. And whilst I’ve not had reason to enter either, both appear to operate with much more efficiency than this place.

It’s a national embarrassment that this is the UK’s premier port.

God forbid to have your twist lock not In position, you'll have to call customer service to send someone to put twist lock in position for you as you're not allowed anymore to exit cab, should I say that this is a f nightmare? Hours of waiting and hours and hours. Awful experience

DRIVERS TOILETS. This is a review of the drivers toilet "facilities" at both Trinity and Languard. Hard to believe this is on offer in 2024! Disgusting rarely cleaned, never maintained cesspits. If you fancy wading in p!ss I highly recommend the box at the top of THA Trinity that has been this way for years. Better off going between the stacks or lifting a manhole cover and going down that. No locks on doors etc, not that you would want to bare your backside to anything they provide.

Expecting a lengthy wait I was very surprised to find out how easy of a process it was to arrive at the port via gate 2, find the pass office (You must get a RHIDES pass before you can enter the port - driving licence is sufficient ID)
Maps are supplied if needed and the staff are very helpful.
In and out within 40 mins to collect a water tanker that had arrived by ferry via Holland.

3 hours waiting for the crane watching other two cranes doing nothing apparently very busy. Customer service 15 min to answer the phone I wonder if you have health problems and you need help. R.I.P ? such a beautiful place.

Slightest bit of wind and they close. Sometimes you can wait over an hour for the cranes driver finally decides to do some work
