If you are looking to buy a flat where HML is the management company, RUN AWAY !!
We have been living next to a property smoking weed constantly and leaving rubbish in the communal area. We have been complaining to HML but it's apparently not their problem. In one sentence : NOTHING IS THEIR PROBLEM. Paying 2k per year for this kind of service is a disgrace.
The Eastbourne branch is the worst, absolutely useless.

0 stars if i could.my walls are dripping so much water, theres literally brick shapes on the wall. Windows are open for constant ventilation and dehumidifer on 24/7 and its doing nothing. Asked for the gutters to be cleared out ages ago, said it would happen but never did. Today they come round moaning about some bits in my communal area and i get an email shortly after. Shame they cant be so quick fixing the issues with the building causing my child to get ill. We pay them enough.

HML have been extremely helpful in managing our apartments block. Oliver Judge and his colleagues respond promptly to issues, always seeking to find a solution. Having had less positive experience with managing agents where we lived before, I appreciate the service we receive from HML.

HML have managed our Grade 2 listed building for 8 years or so now. Oliver Judge, who manages the Eastbourne office, is proactive, pragmatic and extremely responsive. Whether it's a blown lightbulb or the major building works a seafacing building like ours requires, Oliver handles matters great and small with with speed, efficiency and calm. He visits regularly & proactively deals with issues before we've even raised them, which is very reassuring. Would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Don’t even think about dealing with these people. They are dreadful. Paid my Estate Fees monthly by standing order regular as clockwork for 4 years. Now I am being threatened with legal action and arrears have been added to my account despite it being up to date. BHive are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority but even after sending a ‘formal complaint’ email, they have not even acknowledged it within the timescales set out by the FCA. I am myself regulated by the FCA so have now paid up for the year out of fear of having anything adverse put on my credit file which could affect my job. They just churn out their demands with no thought for what they are doing to people. We are now looking at taking over the management of the properties on our Estate with our own committee. The sooner the better.

Incompetent would be a compliment.

Living on an estate managed by HML and also being a director, this is by far the worst company.To even have any association with the the phrase "Management Company" is an absolute flight of fancy. Staff are rude to the point of calling residents expletives . Non responsive and although residents keep paying, they expect residents to take up landscaping duties that should be managed by them. No idea what residents are paying for here. Most dreadful company ....
