Terrible terrible organisation. Cannot stress enough that you should not purchase warranty from them.
Understandably they will find any loop hole to get out of paying. However I had three, yes 3, trois, drei, trzy, mechanics, two of them verified by AA confirm the issue i had was a new issue and would be covered by warranty. But no. Opteven said that it wasn't covered as couldn't be verified as new issue. Again, remember, three mechanics said it was new issue not underlying with anything else (nothing else wrong with car). But the advisors on phone said no. Even had theirs in-house specialist co firm over the phone that it wasn't a new issue. He based that on me talking to him over phone not seeing the car himself.
Absolute waste of money. Complete an utterly waste.

assured vehicle provider for Aston Barclay, who will do anything not
to pay out. a 250mile guarantee on warning lights & fluid levels, i got both within 7 miles, & refused to pay out stating we don’t cover head gasket. the claim i submitted is for warning lights & low fluids irrespective of the cause. claim rejected! + 3 appeals.

Waste of time stay Clear explaid the issues on the phone agent said it would be covered garage spoke to them explained it exactly the same issue and claim rejected. Save your money and if Opteven UK reply to this saying o sorry for your experience don't bother your sorry isn't covered under my agreement

0 stars for this company! We broke down in France a month ago. We received a message stating that it would take between 10 to 15 days for the car to be repatriated to the UK.
Today, after 15 working days with no updates during this time, we called them and they informed us that the car is still in France and they don’t know when it will be sent back to the UK.
We are extremely disappointed with the service. Make sure not to use this company for any reason.

Absolute waste of time. Example. A modern car has a large number of sensors. This warranty covered 2. I’m surprised the AA have anything to do with them. I predict in 5 years this company will be out of business

I’ve had a very pleasant experience with Opteven, I had two claims which were escalated swiftly on my Audi A7. I was updated & kept in the loop throughout the whole process. The payout was quicker than expected, no delays. The team was very welcoming and understanding with the mechanical issues of my car, they helped me as much as they could and at the end we got the car resolved by a approved dealer and Opteven paid the full amount. I have recommended to my friends & family. Thanks

This is the most ridiculous insourance.
They sends you from one to another garage to resolve the issue on car and nobody working properly. I did not resolve with them nothing and i repaired my car to my good knowing garage.
Don’t do this again like me.

My son took out the 2 yr extended warranty for an additional £605. Owned car for 6 months and the clutch needs replacing. The garage dealing with the car face timed opteven showing all components and the technician agreed it wasn't wear and tear. Received message this morning saying its down to wear and tear and not covered. Absolutely disgusted with this company. Happy to take your money but refuse to pay out. Even the garage who sold the car doesn't know what components are covered under the warranty. Absolute joke
