Used Lancaster Gate Assistance to recover a claim from a van that drove across my path riding to work on my motorbike. Unfortunately the other driver's insurance was very uncooperative, not responding for months on end, but really appreciated the efforts of LGA to pursue the claim. The claims handler was incredibly helpful. There were times though that I did feel a bit in the dark on what was happening , which was frustrating as the whole process took 18 months during which I was without a motorbike. But in the end I got a good settlement which I was happy with.

My partner was knocked off his bike 7/1/25. The driver at fault initially said she’d tell her insurers, but since then we’ve had to build evidence against her third party insurers.

Adam Kerry at LGA, was calm, informative and supportive when answering my many questions. His approach was far more effective than some of his colleges, whom I spoke to previously.

What I needed to know was how the process works, how best to challenge the third party arguments, given there was no video evidence and regardless of how LGA made us feel pressured, we wanted a fair claim and know that we have time to make a decision.

The claim is still unresolved. However I trust that with LGA, particularly Adam and Moss, we will have a strong argument and will finally get compensation for my partner.

If you’ve read this far…here are some useful tips to remember:

Evidence;
- video of the incident happening
- photo of the layout of cars etc before they’re moved
- witness statements
- science behind the crash (scrapes, passing distances)

Time
- you have to report the claim within 48hours
- you have up to 6 years to resolve any claim
- personal injury needs to be a big enough amount to warrant the team pursuing it separately

Useful tips
- witness statements must use LGA’s witness forms or they won’t accept it
- phone insurers to get the information you sent via email attached to your claim file (before download links expire)

I’ve since learnt there are very little ways to find justice when it’s their story against yours, regardless if the driver admits liability at the scene. Witness statements are very important in backing up what happened.

I want to thank the team at LGA and I hope, for their sake we don’t need to keep in touch for six years.

amazing help especially though the 100 mph winds in January, company was very good for keeping me calm when the bike fell over due to wind and they also replaced it for service checks after that happened very fast was brilliant. LGA have dealt with an accident claim for my seventeen year old son, who was knocked from his motorbike when a car driver pulled out on him. They have kept me very well informed of all the proceedings with regular calls and emails, and have managed to secure the costs for the bike repairs despite the third party not being very co-operative with their communication, so it was a challenge! Very pleased with the outcome and I would definitely recommend.
