I have been trying to speak to somebody in this company about an HR issue ( I am a retired employee). My chaser email and phone call to the HR administrator has been completely ignored (no professional answerphone message on his/her mobile and my call went straight to voicemail - no return call received this afternoon). I then called head office in London; nobody answering on the switchboard but a pre-recorded message cut in after nearly 5 minutes of holding with a promise of a call back. No call back received this afternoon. This would suggest to me that Brown & Brown's customer service and employee care are items very low on their agenda and would suggest you steer clear of this company, either as a potential customer or a potential employee.

Stay away from these brokers. Policy written on toilet paper.

We had a serious issue with our lifting equipment. It was found to be situated in a dangerous position and breach of HSE guidlines and relvelant health and safety law. Missed on the paid inspections for 5 years consecutive, approx 10 visits made however.

The broker made little to no effort to properly mediate between us and insurance. Exspense to rectify cost us in excess of £10,000. Despite independent expert evidence the broker offered no backing or support to our claim.

Internally sending emails to delay speaking to us and still not having the courtesty to conact us.

What a joke.

Our broker for many years (Flint Insurance) were acquired by Brown & Brown. I insure my commercial and personal properties with them and mainly deal with Ellie in their private client team. She always makes time to speak to me and is easy to get hold of. I am happy to say that other than the name change it is the same high levels of customer service.

Worst insurance experience ever. These guys sent policy documents to the insured address creating legal issues when I have file notes and correspondence from my solicitors to Brown and Brown stating the insured address must not be the correspondence address.

Totally failed to accept this was an oversight on their part as they had "no notes on the system".

Was left unable to progress a policy with them due to a lack of notice. Asked for a complaint to be raised and details sent to me, no complaint details have been provided as requested.

Paul was utterly unhelpful and did not want to resolve the issues created by their incompetence.

Avoid at all costs.
