Touring caravan insurance, accepted then declined 'as caravan not manufactured in UK'. No, it's German, an Eriba, part of the Hymer Group, one of the largest leisure vehicle manufacturers in the world. They're not 'private imports', they're sold, warranted and serviced through a full network of UK dealers - there is no additional risk to an insurer. It's like buying a Ford, Volkswagen or any other make of car, then insurers classifying them as uninsurable imports!!! Other insurance now in place, from an insurer who understands the difference between 'bought in the UK and not a private import', and 'a private import'. You really can't argue with stupid......

Complete waste of time this company. Filled their online quote request on 5th March and not heard anything back to date (25th March). Went online and found they had set up an account so checked it. Stated “Referred” so phoned them. The guy stated it had been “referred” due to my contents value was over £5000. I explained all I could do online for a quote was put in like for like with my current renewal for comparison. He wanted to know what the £300 personal items were to see if they were covered. All I wanted was a quote and he couldn’t explain why I had not been contacted to query the “referral”. I got so annoyed I just told him to forget it and it was a waste of time contacting them. I’ll stick with my current provider
