This is my first time purchasing Building and Contents Insurance as a new home owner, after a lot of research I came on to Homeprotect.
Everything was very clearly laid out with great detail of the different options. A fair price and very easy to understand. Once I purchased the insurance I received all my documents very quickly as well as a few follow up emails. Great service all in all.

We choose Homeprotect last year as their product they offered suited our needs and the price was good. This year the renewal cover and price had little deference in last year's policy price, which we were very happy with as some off the other insurance companies had a much higher fee. This is mainly why we accepted the renewal policy with Homeprotect.

The star rating is middle of the road, as the proof of the pudding from insurance companies is if you are unfortunate enough to make a claim or deal with them outside of buying from them.

I will have to do that in the next week or so, when I have to update my policy with new information that is likely to have an impact, so will update after this as this could negatively impact my view based on the price they charge for the changes. (I couldn't include these changes at the time of taking out the policy, so my fault).

In price terms, they were competitive and their website easy to use, so full marks here.

Found a less expensive deal for our house and contents insurance, bearing in mind we let a room with Airbnb. Helpful staff. Never actually managed to complete the deal on the website and had to telephone then repeat everything we'd filled in on the website all over again! Still extremely expensive. Hoping they come up trumps if ever we have to claim.

This week, I signed up for home insurance with Homeprotect. I found the sign up process very straightforward, and what was covered was clearly displayed with examples, including optional extras such as bicycles and mobile phones. The price is very reasonable, and although I haven't made a claim, other reviews mention that the claims process is fair and the staff extremely helpful. After signing up, I had a small issue with the address, and the agent went out of her way to make sure it was amended and that my policy would not be affected. I would not hesitate to recommend Homeprotect.
