I had a very positive experience with ACH from start to finish. I contacted them after someone crashed into my parked car, so they could deal with the third party insurer and my insurance premium would not be affected. ACH delivered a courtesy car to me on the same day (given the incident was a few days before Christmas, I thought I would have had to wait). Their engineer inspected the car promptly and telephoned me to discuss the write off and the cars value. ACH then contacted the insurer to arrange settlement of the car and liaised with the DVLA and my own finance company to transfer the car and pay the outstanding finance. I was then paid the balance. On top of that, they allow you to keep the courtesy car for 7 days after payment to assist in looking for a new car. It took 3 weeks from contacting them, to the settlement being received from the insurer which included the Christmas period. Thr courtesy car was also fantastic and a great car (and even inspiration for my new car). Huge thanks to Kylie, Gemma and the team for being so friendly, helpful, and dealing with the process so swiftly and smoothly. I would highly recommend!

What started off as a good experience dealing with my claim ended badly.

This is to do with the poor quality repair I received (after they had my car a tediously long time (months) eating into my warranty and costing on payments, it eventually came back and on a Quick Look to an untrained seemed ok.

A few months later I came to sell the car to a trader who pointed out the thick paint, sanding marks (criss cross) pitting and bumps indicating a very poor quality repair. I had no choice but to either lose a sale completely and part with my car yet again, leaving me with months of payments and sale losses. Or accept a £900 loss due to this.

Ach fail to recognise that the car coming back is not an option due to the above highlighted reasons.

Do not let these handle your claim your car will be gone for months and come back with a poor repair. You may not notice until you sell like I did. The worst is their arrogance and handling of this issue.

Dealt with my claim swiftly, provided a courtesy car as close to like for like as they could, and I was able to use the car for 7 days after my claim was settled to help me get around while I looked for a new car. Thanks for all your help!
