Avoid avoid. Save your money and find someone else.
We have had domestic and general for a number of years but recently they are absolutely rubbish. Customer service is absolutely useless. Engineers not turning upto appointments or arriving late.
2 years to repair my cooker but still not working! Engineer after engineer all do something to it but still unable to use oven but quick enough to take payment. I've complained to them and ombudsman got me nowhere as domestic and general told them they had repaired. I sent ombudsman a recording of it not working but never heard anything so no better than domestic and general!!!

I've been with D&G for a few years now, and I've never had a problem. My vacuum foot was replaced within 4 days, my washer and dryer repaired within a week and my freezer replaced for a new one within 2 weeks. The price I pay for all my white goods is less than I pay for one of pet insurance! I had never trusted white goods insurance until I found this company, and I can't complain. (Except they don't insure steam generator irons)

Very good company. I have most my home now insured by domestic and general. They repaired my 55 inch curved TV 3 times with a new screen and the repair took no time at all. It is really worth it not having to worry about appliances breaking down and gadgets.

Please Do not use tlhis company, they are liars, told 4 reasons that my repair couldn't be done.
Abd that i would recieve my payment back.
Never happened!!
After 3 months of this dire company. I am at my wits end
They are aware of my medical situation and the fact that my son and dog cut themselves on the glass their engineer left on the floor along with the rest of the rubbish.
Not any acknowledgement.
Please record all calls i did. Keep messages, i did.
Take to ombudsman!!
Don't let them do this to people.
I am now contacting the press.
More people know the better.
My mother cancelled her policy after 40 years and £22,000 spent .
Because of the appalling way I have been treated !

If I could give it negative stars I would. I called about getting warranty on an appliance, and they sold me a plan. My appliance actually broke down a couple days later, but they said it was the wrong plan, and sold me a different one. I initiated a repair, and they said the appliance was too old. (Initially I was told it was valid as a new homeowner even though it was old) I have received notification of refund for plan 1 but haven't received the refund yet. Plan 2 was refunded however not the full amount.

I have had a charger taken/lost between the delivery company and the third party company that D& G use, E&S Services which no one is taking liability for and so D&G have seen my ring doorbell evidence that I've sent it and told me they can't do anything about this and that I have to look into this myself. I have cancelled with them today and won't be using their service again.

I would strongly advise against taking any policies with this company. While they take your payment promptly, their service is severely lacking. They fail to send an engineer as promised, and frequently cancel appointments at the last minute. On several occasions, I've taken time off work, only for them to cancel on me just an hour before the scheduled appointment, leaving me with wasted time and frustration.

Worst Company I have ever been with I don't know what I was thinking when I made a policy with them. Two weeks ago I made a claim for a broken roof tile which was causing water to leak though. For 2 weeks I was calling 2 times a day to get an Engineer to come fix it. Every time they had a different excuse for why an engineer can't come today or they would lie and say someone is on their way and no one came. It makes me so angry I wasted money on them for 6 months. And when I cancelled my policy with them they had the audacity to ask why. Please read these review before joining them as it's not just me they have scammed. And if anyone knows a way to sue them let me know please ad I would really want my money back.
