Failed to pay out based on a NHS approved procedure for tongue tie carried out by the NHS recommended and qualified specialist. Stating the qualifications didn’t match their list. Their list states it needs to be a GP carrying out the procedure, no GP will do it. They refer to these specialists. Awful scheme that will look for more ways to not pay than pay. Companies beware there are far better schemes out there.

UPDATE: following the response from Ellie below I called to discuss my review. Ellie wasn’t available, so I spoke with another team member. I said that I would raise the matter as a complaint so that it could follow the formal process. In doing so I received one of the worse responses to a complaint that I have ever seen from a professional company.

The response included personal slants on the conversations I’d had including stating that I hadn’t mentioned raising a complaint in any of my previous conversations. Of course I hadn’t, I was trying to resolve the issue. Thoroughly disappointed with the handling of this and the outcome. I refer to my previous comments, please try elsewhere before using this company.

Further update-something very odd is going on as they have received a slew of recent positive reviews to counter their previously terrible star rating. A large amount posted 2 months ago looks very suspicious!!

They Don't pay out! - Everytime I submit something to them they have a reason to decline the reimbursement. One reason was because they couldn't prove payment when I attached my bank statement but the supplier name looked funny on the statement. I had no other way of confirming it to them so gave up as it was 60 pound physio bill. Then just recently I have been declined a sports massage reimbursement despite the fact that this was recommended by a work colleague who used same supplier and same sports masseuse. How do they make one decision for one person and a different one for another despite all the variables being the same? I think that the service is terrible as I have now spent 130 pound on services that should be covered by Health Shield but they are being pedantic and not fulfilling the agreement

After recently been made a member through the firm that I work for, I claimed for an eye test & a pair of new new safety glasses. I quickly received an email back informing me that my claim was accepted, & I then received the payment back in only a matter of a few days. Highly recommended policy.
