MPC ( and Tom in particular) have carried another full and professional service for my VWTRoc solving an ongoing problem that the local dealers have frustratingly consistently declined to resolve. In particular Tom has been incredibly helpful with nothing taking too much trouble - and I’m incredibly impressed by the work ethic. I’ve been a client of MPC for a number of years and every time I’m completely delighted, and their professional approach is consistent, friendly and reliable. Thank you so much once again.

I decided to use MPC Basingstoke for my MOT this year. I'm really saddened and disappointed with my experience and would not recommend using them unless you know enough about cars to question them.
I'm short. My 2018 reg car is well maintained and looked after, the Initial customer service was friendly and by all accounts welcoming. I received a call to say my car had failed the MOT, the reasons, the head lights were aiming to high, both front break lines were slightly twisted and the suspension arm ball joint cover is no longer preventing the ingress of dirt. This is all fine until she told me it would be just shy of £500.00 to repair. I accepted this as gospel and asked if I could take a moment to assess my end. I told a work colleague who instantly said no that doesnt sound right. That should never cost that amount, usually reputable garages would correct the lights while doing the test, and that it should only take an hour and a half to fix the issue. I called MPC back and asked for a breakdown of the costs, they couldn't give me a clear answer. At this point I went to 3 different garages for a second opinion. All 3 said I was being ripped off and that the repair should cost around d £250.00 at the very most if the entire suspension arm was replaced. All 3 disagree with the twisted break lines and the garage that has now done the repair said the lights did not need adjusting and the lines 100% are not twisted. The total repair including a full new MOT was £150.00.

MPC. I'm a single woman with children who you felt you could take advantage of. I'm hugely disappointed in you and hope everyone in basingstoke reads this review. Shame on you. I understand there may have been reasons for the excessive costs but this could have been explained when I called for the costings to be broken down.

15 Plate 95K Mazda CX5 Turbo Replacement
This is a common fault on Mazda 2.2 diesel Skyactive engines. I was directed to MPC as the best local garage to use. My car had became sluggish with various dash indicators and it was either a return of a choked up inlet manifold or a component in the low pressure turbo failing. The latter was confirmed after Tom the mechanic had checked the internals of the old unit. The end price came in as quoted as I needed a particular type of coolant and a temperature sensor. Communication throughout the job was excellent too so I was aware of progression. Tom keeping the vehicle after the unit had been fitted and road tested to check for any leaks overnight was reassuring too. Thank you MPC and in particular Tom for the skill and care that you put into the job.

I cannot recommend MPC highly enough I called them needing someone to look at my exhaust ASAP and within 1.30hrs they had ordered the part, fitted and got me back on the road. Shout out to Tom and Jennifer - amazing team! Will definitely be using their services again.

Would avoid this garage, cold approach from staff, rude and abrupt. It felt like your typical untrustworthy service providers. As soon as I picked up on their ineptitude to people skills, I left the garage and said I would rather go elsewhere.

Most likely, due to the lack of education of mechanics. The receptionist was apologetic after I left, and I phoned them about my experience, which I am grateful for. However, I would definitely not recommend it!

Really lost my trust in this garage and will never be visiting again!

Went in to stop a brake fluid leak, I had identified the source of and was done super quick. No over charging and no additional parts that weren't needed. As a result of that great work, I asked them to do a full service while the car was with them and it was no bother to squeeze it in on the same day. Even better was the full and unexpected valet it was returned with...so sparkly! Great service and will absolutely be returning for any future work needed! Thanks MPC team!

Took my car for an MOT, everything seemed fine, staff friendly. Only thing I fault is that my car was left alongside the road just from the garage, which is fine, but when I got to my car, my car wasn’t locked (I didn’t wait around for this to be done, I did go home so I wasn’t near the car) the passenger door was open a jar because the passenger seatbelt was hanging outside the car, stopping the door from closing. I thought this was really careless actually, my car could have been sat there for hours like this, open to anyone to get into but also drain my battery with the interior lights on.
