When I first went to Griffins (GFS) for advice my pension was in a mess. I’d previously put my trust in Equitable Life and lost a lot of money because of the scandal there. The team at GFS has given me excellent advice and the results speak for themselves. I’m reassured by the fact that the advisers are all chartered financial planners – I want independent advice, not to be sold products.

True, I should have taken a more active interest, but I have a small portfolio with was with Griffins (in name Neil Buckingham) for 10 years. Nearing retirement age I asked Neil Buckingham again about what I should do with my pensions and his reply was… well lets just say "indifferent" so much so that I actually wrote to Neil Buckingham and said "look, I'm sorry for this but your approach is a bit cocky, this is my money, you've been earning fees for it and you don't seem interested"

His reply was, well we're not really interested in any portfolio below XYZ (being about double my small investment) - I was horrified, I had trusted Griffins IFA's for years whilst I was busy with my own business and simply put, if they HAD of taken an interest it very well could have been big enough for them to be interested.

I really would NOT recommend Griffins Financial Advisers and in particular, Neil Buckingham
