I recently attended an Outdoor First Aid course run by Alistair of North Pennines Training. This was the second time I attended his course, as the accreditation is renewable after 3 years. Alistair has clearly updated the course and he maintained my interest and sense of involvement all day. The differences from 'urban first aid' were clearly laid out. Well worth the effort.

I recently attended the First Aid course at North Pennines Training, and it was an enjoyable experience. The course was well-drafted to meet our needs for outdoor working and general first aid. Allister was an excellent teacher, and he explained the practical elements very well, keeping everyone engaged.
Allister did a great job of balancing theory and practical sessions, making the content interesting and accessible. He encouraged participation in a way that felt natural and comfortable. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience!

I wasn't sure what to expect having done a course in a completely different work environment.
The basics are all the same obviously but with this First Aid course having a Forestry and Agricultural theme to it, it felt so practical because of my background.
The tutor gave everybody enough time to follow through his practical instructions.
We were all in it together.
It was a good experience.

Would certainly recommend North Pennines Training first aid training – I recently participated in one day emergency first aid at work. Training was comprehensive, the training equipment was high standard and our trainer Alistair was great, with excellent, thorough and clear communication skills, he was the right amount of funny, and gave good warnings when (as you do in any emergency first aid course) graphic images were coming up, he also adapted and included further information and training on our request to meet the needs of the place. Very grateful for such an enjoyable day, I learnt extra first aid (this is not my first training) and came out with a renewed qualification. Brilliant! Many thanks. We’ll undoubtedly be a returning customer to this company when our renewal date comes up.

I personally have received first aid training now on three occasions from Alastair at North Pennines Training. He is really knowledgeable on the subject and the way he balances the theory with practical aspects of the course are superb, really keeps the course candidates engaged. Our company went for a short spell using another provider and the course content and quality was nowhere near as good.
If you require first aid training, don’t go past this provider, I can not recommend them highly enough. I know from feedback received from team members I send on the courses as well, they feel the same.

We held a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course with Alistair last week. The course was excellent, it was delivered at the right pace for all 12 learners. The practical learning experiences significantly reinforced our skills in Emergency First Aid.

It was great having Alistair deliver the course at our workplace, and enabled us to get all of our staff on who needed it.
