The survey report from Marcus was carried out very promptly and reached me within days. It was very helpful indeed and pointed out matters that have allowed me to make changes that radically improve the property and also safety around the home. On the face of it the report was comprehensive but it has cast doubt onto the relevance of such reports in our view. As an example, on occupying our new property, the shower did not work and a plumber said it hadn't worked for 6 months. The bathroom floor was in effect floating at one end, the landing floor had two large cracks in the board causing the floor to spring, the hot water cylinder was on its last legs. the consumer unit was condemned by an electrician, the porch was in danger of collapse and I could go on. In addition the boiler was venting directly underneath a bedroom window. None of this was noted in our report. Surely such basic faults should be reported in a Homebuyers Survey.

I would 100% recommend Progress Consulting Ltd.
Marcus carried out a Structural Engineers Survey on an old terraced house in Ripon I was buying. The survey was carried out within a couple of days of me requesting it and the report arrived quickly. It skilfully addressed all my concerns and was very detailed and thorough.
Marcus willingly gave up further time to answer questions following the survey both on the telephone and through email.
This was very reassuring.

Top quality service. I found Progress Consulting by chance when looking for someone to produce a home buyers report. This was done promptly and to a good level of detail. Both Marcus and his PA Caroline have been exceptionally helpful, prompt and informative in helping me with both RICS and specialist defect / structural surveying in Harrogate. I am also delighted that Marcus is able to provide any structural engineering calculations and plans (for future renovations), alongside advice that I may require, due to his engineering background. This is an important distinction, coupled with their local knowledge and diligence.
