Insolvency during Covid was one of the most upsetting experiences in my career - losing a business we'd spent years building up, to be wiped clean by a virus and greedy landlord.

The team at Graywoods handled our case incredibly well, holding our hand through the unsettling and scary parts of the process and communicating in a very personal way all the way from start to finish.

They made things very clear and at no point did I feel pressured to make a decision or do something I wasn't comfortable with.

The paperwork is onerous but the team made this as easy as possible for us.

My former employer went on liquidation 6 months ago and Graywoods took over. Not only they haven't fixed our records with HMRC yet, but managed to make them worse. Any attempt to contact them on the phone is ridiculously difficult. My "corrected" P45 came back with the wrong total tax, wrong address and wrong end of employment date. I emailed them weeks ago and all I'm still waiting to hear from them. They are appallingly incompetent and unhelpful.

At a time when one feels most vulnerable, when the successful business you have built up, often with a struggle, for many years, 33 in my case, has to come to an abrupt halt, through no fault of your own, (Covid long-term enforced closure), the team at Graywoods have sensitivity, practicality and understanding in abundance. They 'held my hand' through a bewildering set of processes. Acted with speed and efficiency. Conversed with the staff on matters to which I had no understanding. Wrapped everything up quickly.
