We reached out to Lisa in March for help securing a decision in principle with our current lender, but unfortunately, our application was declined. This meant we would incur a costly exit fee if we decided to move to another lender. While this was disheartening, Lisa remained calm, positive, and incredibly supportive. She assured us she would appeal the decision while simultaneously applying to other lenders on our behalf.

What followed was a series of rejections that could have easily shaken anyone’s confidence—but not Lisa’s. She was relentless, consistently communicating with us, reassuring us that she wouldn’t stop until she found a solution. As time passed, our anxiety grew, and we were ready to accept any reasonable mortgage offer, even if it meant paying the exit charge.

Two months in (May) Lisa came through with a mortgage offer from a new lender, and the rate was excellent. We were overjoyed. After weeks of uncertainty, this was the best outcome we could have hoped for.

But Lisa wasn’t finished.

Fast forward to July, few days to our exchange date, and Lisa surprised us again—she had secured an approval with our original lender after all. This not only matched the great rate she had previously found, but it also meant we avoided the hefty exit fee entirely. What we had thought was our best outcome turned out to be second best—Lisa had quietly and diligently delivered even better.

Lisa embodies what it means to put her client first. Her resilience, tenacity, and commitment to our case was nothing short of inspiring.
