I used Burgh Thorpe as my solicitors as a first time buyer and had consistent professional, clear and quick communication with Samantha and Yasmin. The online portal was really handy to keep track of the progress of the purchase, and all of my questions that I had during the process were answered and explained throughout the whole process.

The firm was upfront about all costs before commencing any work, which was really helpful to working out costs associated with the purchase.

Communication was poor throughout - we felt we needed to chase constantly, rather than being kept freely informed of the progress of the purchase. We were also given a time frame of 8 weeks and the process took 7 months. Your services were the most expensive out of all the initial quotes we received, but we went with you because you said you'd aim to complete in 6-8 weeks. This was appealing to us, but unfortunately, we felt let down and that you could have done more to get our purchase completed in a much more timely manner. I may add that there was no chain either side.

Rebecca was absolutely excellent, she definitely went above and beyond, and was always kind and professional! She worked tirelessly the whole time and was working behind the scenes to get everything together for a very quick completion. She even managed to organise completion before the stamp duty increase in April (having only been accepted in January) which was the icing on the cake.
