Currently on holiday in the Lake District, we noticed my car was rattling underneath. On close inspection and putting my foot on the exhaust it appeared to be maybe a mounting loose.
We called without appointment to Young Motors where a mechanic gave my car an immediate check over. It didn't take long for him to see it was a loose heat shield & nothing serious as it was nowhere near my fuel tank. He removed it easily as the bolts had burnt through but didn't want remuneration for his work. What a charming generous man, well done Young Motors.

During my holiday on the Motorbike to Ambleside. I had a couple of issues with the rear brake master cylinder. While Young Motors were busy they let me borrow the tools required for me to fix the bike on their site and assisted in bleeding the brake after i sourced the new master cylinder. Because of this i was able to continue my holiday. The owner was very polite and helpful. Not many garages would let someone they didnt know borrow their tools. Ambleside is lucky to have a garage like this one.

During our holiday to Ambleside we had the very good fortune to visit Youngs with our Toyota Auris which had developed some worrying noises and steering effects. They booked our car in for checks, found the faults immediately, corrected the defects and explained what we should do to ensure we continued to drive safely and securely. A truly excellent customer orientated business, with a very professional team from reception through to experienced and dedicated mechanics. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Young's to any car owner needing help to repair their vehicle. Well done Youngs and big thank you for your help.

After a recent break down near Hawkshead, we were fortunate enough to be put in touch with Youngs Motors. Over the phone, Andy was extremely helpful with how the recovery could be done and, as we were close to closing time, where the car could be safely left to be worked on at the next opportunity. The service was prompt and professional and I was incredibly pleased with the diagnosis, fix and communication from the garage throughout. I cannot recommend this garage highly enough.
