I can’t begin to express how upset we are with the outcome of our kitchen. This was real splurge for us and the quality is appalling. The woodwork is chipped everywhere, from the sideboards to the plinths. Now our gold tap is beginning to rust and look awful. The microwave floods because a vent wasn’t added and a layout of the cupboards was missing a panel in the design so there’s a gap between the door closing and drawers.
I should have written this review sooner but I didn’t want to face the reality of it. I wouldn’t recommend Howdens.

I am changing my review from a 1 star to a 4 star. I called and asked for a refund over the phone as I could not travel to Aylesbury and Barry gave me a refund over the phone. But I would strongly not say to customers that you could return goods to other branch because this is partly not true since you need to come back to the original branch where you purchased to get a refund. But well done and Good Luck!

My integrated washing machine broke down and I needed a replacement. Suzy at Howdens was amazing. Super professional and helpful and able to get me a machine within 24 hours. So very grateful in the current circumstances.

He confidently came up with many different ways to make my ideas possible, putting forward solutions and even built upon my ideas to design a more beautiful kitchen. We had the most horrendous experience with this branch. They were difficult when they supplied the wrong parts and delayed the refurbishment by a week. The builders who were fantastic said it is the worst branch they had ever dealt with. The dishwasher hasn't worked properly since it was installed (3 weeks ago) and now I'm having to go around the houses trying to get a proof of purchase which I should have been given in order to get an engineer to come out and fix it.

Went in asked for a price on a unit and they refused to give me a price said I have to have a trade account I asked how I'd get one as I was putting it in myself and they replied that I'd have to be a builder, plumber,carpenter etc and there is no personal accounts.
Yet in one of the replies on here 2 weeks ago, Howdens have said you can have personal accounts!!! Either the staff are incompetent and not trained properly or they are liars.

Pros: Howden's products are good quality and they will price match local competitors.

Aylesbury branch specific Cons: I only dealt with one of the office staff but he was very disappointing, I would email asking several questions and he would only answer one in his reply. He also forgot to update the cabinets when we swapped a single oven for a double. The corner cabinets are missing blanking panels.

General Howden's cons: I was very dissapointed with the price of Howden's products, for a trade only business I found them very expensive. My first quote was for £3500 or £2750 in the sale if I took delivery in October. By price matching products from Screwfix, Toolstation, Wickes and B and Q I managed to get the price down to £2500. They also charge a whopping £80 for delivery and won't 'price match' Wickes or B and Qs' free delivery. The corner cupboards are missing blanking panels and the corner cupboard doors clash with the adjacent bad cupboard s when fully opened. Not great design.

Went in to buy something on account to find out my account has been closedown, though it was in credit, I wasn't even informed, the staff it the branch couldn't reopen it, now I have to sort this out with accounts by email, will not be using them again wasted my lunch and a 12 mile round trip
