From claims being delayed in payment for over 6 months to inability to get emergency care for a broken foot for 4 days, I can not recommend this company on any level. As of writing this review, I still have not heard back regarding my claim questions although in their response saying they are "looking into it with the claims manager" they had the audacity to solicit me for renewed business!

Be very careful when purchasing a policy from this company. I experienced numerous issues both obtaining the policy and making a claim which HCI denied. Emails and can’t tax went on answered for long periods of time and I would advise once again extreme caution in purchasing Health Insurance from this company.

it has been 4 months since I filed for a compassionate travel claim. The claim was approved but the payment never made. I am going nowhere in my demands of an explanation for this delay. It is a dishonest company that does not honor its commitments. I dread to think of what would happen in case of a need for hospitalization or large medical expenses. I cannot wait for the end of the contract to switch to a different health provider. Stay away from HealthCare International!

This company is a shame - stay away! I got the top level of cover and after calling them to pre approve treatment they said it was not required as it was outpatient treatment, which I had to pay upfront myself for, then they would reimburse me. 3 months after submitting my claim it was denied because I had cold/flu symptoms within the past 2 years, which was a pre-existing condition! Never heard anything like it… They don't even deserve 1 star, but I could not put 0 starts. Only go with this company if you want to be out of pocket, with no cover to show for it.

I would like to thank HCI for the exceptional service relating to the private medical needs of my family. There is no greater desire in life than to protect the well being of one's family and following a major skiing accident, my son was able to receive swift and comprehensive medical treatment.
