My Father continues to be very, very happy at The Manor House. He speaks highly of the food, the atmosphere and always tells me how friendly and helpful the team of staff are.

My Mum has been in The Manor since spring this year and "we" as a family are so glad we moved her from the previous home she was in. She has completely blossomed, made new friends and been given the stimulation, love and care she deserves. Every single member of staff including Management have been empathetic and approachable, not just to Mum, but also to me and our immediate family. When i leave the home from visiting....I'm rest assured that Mum is being cared for, which gives me piece of mind. Thank you Manor House team (Angie and Jo) and all who work there 🙏

My mother resided at this care home during 2023 for 4 and a half months. The manager Angela, and Deputy Jo, loved my mum. Her key worker was Nadine and she also had a good relationship with my mum. In fact when my mum needed hospice care, Anglea fought for it for us. And when my mum sadly passed away Angela, Jo, Nadine and nurse Biji came to her funeral and that was very touching. So you might be asking why I have only awarded a 2 star. Well, the nursing home was not geared up for palliative care, and it was owned by Bupa. I came to realise the seriousness of how Nursing homes should be geared up for palliative care. And how they should not involve any capitalist company such as Bupa. As that is all about having less staff and making more money. For example, due to lack of staffing a male resident entered my mothers room and she was there alone with him. We were very distressed about that. Lack of staffing meant that my mum needed to wait a long time on the toilet alone. There were other issues too such as lack of palliative training for staff which led to us to call safeguarding on a few occasssions and also the chc. The chc did step in and give palliative care advise to the nusing home. As you can see the issues are not personal towards the staff and managers, it's to do with caitalism and lack of palliative care training. My mum passed away 5 months ago and it's taken all this time to work out how to write a this review. I hope it can be used for making changes to staffing levels and staff training. Many thanks to the nice people we came across re Anglea, Jo, Biji, Nadine, Peter, Marie and others.
