Since opening my doggy day care business Petplan have been the only company I can hand on heart recommend to anybody. Their service is faultless and the prices are incredible. I unfortunately had to make a claim during my first year and it was dealt with promptly and professionally, alleviating a tonne of stress from a nervous new business owner! And the cover they offer is unrivalled.

Having had nearly all our pets insured through Pet Plan it was great to be able to pair up with Pet Plan Sanctuary when I started my own Dog Walking and Dog Training Business. Everything I need is covered, it’s all for an extremely reasonable price and nothing is too much bother whether it’s updating my details or having them explain something - would definitely recommend for business insurance

Before you take out insurance with them make sure you ask them specifically what it covers so there are no surprises. After paying premiums for 6 years without making a claim I was told they wouldn’t reimburse the meagre £300 veterinary fees for a dog bite as it was from another dog in my pack. It was a one off incident. This dog had never bitten another dog before but apparently if they are both in the same pack you are not covered. If the dog had been a random dog and the owner and dog had run away without giving details, they would have paid “allegedly”. Not much point to have insurance if they have a clause for every scenario that exonerates them. When I questioned why they don’t make these things clear when marketing their policies the response was they don’t have time to talk through every clause. Also I didn’t like the way they went about asking questions, now I realise they were obviously trying to get out of paying the claim. Apart from all of this they are very old fashioned and poor admin. They asked me to send the claim form by post then lost the form so I then had to email it. Why i couldn’t email it in the first place I don’t know. You can never speak to anyone in the claims department. It sounds like there is one person doing everything on her own. There are much cheaper insurance providers out there and ones that have moved with the times.

Horrendous. On hold for ages, then for whatever reason there was a huge delay on the line. Renewed my policy but didn't take payment! Avoid.
