My experience with TMT First, Review based on a Galaxy 23 Ultra battery replacement repair.

TLDR; TMT First reliably repaired my device within a week, and I faced no issues. They were helpful by awnering inquiry emails & kept me updated where necessary.

The bad reviews shouldn't scare you!

Full story;

My battery had began swelling about a little over month ago now, I originally didn't take much notice, and figured it was possibly just the back glass' glue wearing out, but it inevitably got worse and became clear it was my battery.

Knowing I still had a warranty on my device, I set off to claim it in hopes of replacing my battery. I originally was very hesitant to send off my device, and was not ready to go without it for a week or more, especially hearing the stories of other people and their horrible experiences. I looked for ways to get it repaired in less time but eventually came out with everything leading back to having to go without for a few days at most, or paying a lot of money for a doorstep repair.

I had backed up some of my data but was initially worried about losing things. By the time I realised I wasn't getting out of it, my warranty end date drew very near. So, I accepted to let my device be taken and repaired possibly under my warranty. I was willing to take the chance.

However, by the time I did it, my warranty was set to end on the day. But at that stage it didn't matter to me.

I meticulously backed up my data and moved things over to a temporary device following the confirmation my device would be collected, and my device was then collected by a DPD Courier roughly the next day.

It was here I got a sticker stating TMT First would be handling my repair. I orginally read reviews and had mixed feelings given what others had experienced. But had high hopes

Within a day or so my device was received, roughly Monday (October 20th). By Wednesday they had inspected it and told me what the situation was. They said my battery was infact swollen and that they would repair it for free as a gesture of goodwill.

Following the signing of an agreement form, my device was repaired and shipped back somewhere between Friday and Saturday. By Saturday afternoon I was told by DPD they had my package and to expect it by Monday
Monday.

Sunday morning comes and I'm met with a lovely suprise, my device was to be returned by 1:23pm-2:23pm. And just like that, I got the delivery within the time frame. Phone looking brand new and ready go to.

Infact. I've written this review from the very same device. It's far too early to have noticed any major Improvements but atleast my back glass is no longer being pushed out by it.

All in all, speedy service, and was more than helpful when replying to my inquiry emails. My device feels brand new and my device didn't need to be wiped (SENT IN MAINTENANCE MODE! this plays a major role, it will not guarantee your data won't get wiped however. In my case it wasn't necessary to exit maintenance mode for testing)

I would absolutely trust TMT to handle my future repairs, but here's hoping I won't need to repair this phone again for a while.

This company has a lot of reviews telling of a shocking service! What there people really mean is that they lied about the condition of their phone, and how it was damaged and expect someone else to pick the cost of the repairs for free! Absolutely pleasant company to speak to. Professional, and fixed my phone with a genuine warranty failure at no cost to myself. They didn't try to rip me off, I understood the repairs and test they were doing. Phone arrived to them on Tuesday and it was back with me on Friday night. You really can't fault that kind of service. I am very grateful for you taking the time to understand how my phone charging port came to become faulty rather than slamming water damage on it abd charging me. That's how businesses should be run. The only issue I have is you removed my £15 privacy screen protector...I have now got to fit a another one abd they are a pain in backside. However, I won't quibble with the fact you have saved me paying out £150. Top service, and once again thank you. James Wilson

Great service. My fingerprint side button had stopped working on my samsung z fold 5 so I went through the Samsung customer services to get it repaired. This company was a partner for Samsung. They went above and beyond for me. Replacing screen protection and back glass as well as my side button. It's a small thing but extremely appreciated. The small things matter. I couldn't recommend them any higher. Downside was the constant calls afterwards to see how the service was. But that could also be seen as good service. Thank you for such a great easy job!

Can't fault TMT First. My Pro Buds 3 had a issue with the case where it would only charge the buds if it was connect to a cable and not independently.

Booked through Samsung as still under warranty.

Sent to TMT through DPD on Friday they received on Saturday issued a new case and sent back and received on Sunday.

Really can't fault them.

Took my iPhone 12 Pro Max in for a new battery as it was at 70% but the rest of the phone was spot on. I had the choice of a aftermarket battery or genuine one. Went for the genuine one as it kept all battery health details ect. All done spot on, apple recognised as a genuine part and gives me the %. I have another iPhone needs a screen, will be using again soon!

Had my S23 Ultra screen repaired by TMT. Lady at the reception was wonderful, welcoming and helpful.
My device got repaired on the same day.
They changed battery and casing too.
Would definitely use their service again.

I sent my phone to TMT First via Samsung Repair. The screen was unresponsive with no visible damage. I then get an email from them saying the warranty is void due to impact damage and procced to send me a photo of a screen with gash marks and a hole in the screen made by what looks like a screw driver or ball point pen. Disgusting business practices to force customers to pay themselves so they can make more money than doing warranty repairs.
