One of the worst brokers on the market. They simply don't care about their customer's needs. In my case, they left my application for three weeks and they didn't respond to my phone calls or email address. Luckily I could sort out my mortgage application by directly contacting the banks.

Just reflecting back on the absolute rinsing I received from Nigel when I was inexperienced with mortgages. The interest rate was significantly higher than those available at the time in despite of being in a great position in regards to credit etc. and he took a lovely chunk from the bank too as well as actually charging me! Preying on new buyers as part of David Wilsons new build houses. Avoid.

I was given the opportunity to buy the house I had been renting and initially contact L&C to arrange a mortgage, initially they were helpful but then they weren't as responsive and the mortgage didn't seem to be making any progress. I then contacted Acumen after a referral from a friend who said they had been very helpful and sure enough Acumen were great from start to finish. They got me a decision in principle the same day I spoke to an adviser, who then came out to see me and the mortgage was submitted in full within 48 hours of the initial conversation.

The whole process took around 6 weeks from start to finish and Acumen were brilliant every step of the way, not only with the initial advice but also a great service from the admin team too. Highly recommended to anybody looking for mortgage assistance.
