Traumatising and humiliating experience. After I uploaded all the documents I was asked of, they suddenly demanded a guarantor earning a sum above what was absolutely needed for the sum my rent was. Then, they declined him without completely reviewing his documents, and could not have the decency to message me about it.

They ignore ALL calls, MOST emails, will ask you to upload the same document multiple times and still ignore you once they have received it. This was a traumatic experience. They go back on their word about whether you need a guarantor or not, setting arbitrary rules and not even sticking by them. This company rendered me homeless after I submitted everything AND MORE they asked for. To the best of your ability, avoid them!

This company has been a complete nightmare to deal with. Communication is awful as they ignore calls and emails, and the staff seem not to care. They even emailed me to confirm that everything was fine with my side of the application, only to turn around the day before move in and suddenly demand a guarantor. Because of their delays and incompetence, my move in has been postponed, leaving me homeless and having to pay for a hotel. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

This company has been a nightmare. I don't blame the landlord. It doesn't help they ask for so much personal information ie, what your savings are and what you spend it on. Didn't think that last part was legal, thought statements where only used to verify the account is active. I'll avoid them in future if a landlord uses them.

Very rude company, they made me so glad when they finally passed my checks and I don’t have to deal with them again. I’ll definitely avoid renting with anyone who uses these guys as a referencing agency in the future. the amount of emails they sent was ungodly, demanding far more documents that it turned out was actually required in the end. After turning down my first guarantor they continued to pursue her manager for personal documents. Then lied about the dates of said emails. The emails they send are rude and they take ages to respond. I’m very lucky to be in a position where I passed their checks quite easily and they still made it very difficult, I would feel very sorry for some honest person just looking for a place to live who might not be in the perfect position financially because these guys would have them out on the street.

I'm currently dealing with Liam Tidnam. Really nasty lad.
I've received email from him like :
Firstly...
Security... that's not even the code....
You appeal to be confused.....
The lad has zero people skills and i assume professionalism is not required.
I've sent an email to him with polite request not to ever send emails like that again. I see myself becoming homeless, bcos of this agency. Good luck to everyone who's trying to rent and has to go though this company.

I have been using Advanced Rent for few years now but recently they went above and beyond, I needed to do quick but full checks on prospective tenant, the system we use was down meaning dealing with Advanced Rent directly (normally is via 3rd party integration). They were super helpful, prompt, made me feel like I was the most important for them.
