Terrible company to deal with.
Called to cancel my renewal over 1 week before my renewal date. 4 days later they took a full years premium for the renewal (before renewal date).
Called to get a refund and make sure the customer service advisor had cancelled my policy at renewal. Told it will take 3-10working days for refund. Policy was renewed due to them having a new system in place. Customer service advisor was terrible on the phone and kept putting me on holding every time I asked a question, without telling me what he was doing. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he didn’t have a manager or a supervisor!
They have taken money without authorization and then do not pay it back!
I would not recommend this company to handle any of your insurance policies.

I have been with Autonet Insurance for a number of years and this years increase was approximately £160 on a commercial vehicle. I asked for a discount which was met with 'the price is the price'. Even with the increase this was a fairly competitive price compared to others for the type of vehicle so i decided to renew with them. Once the money was paid, i simply asked the question why has there been such an increase? Instead of defending or justifying the increase the representative then terminated the call. This sums up the attitude of the company perfectly. I will not use them again.

Terrible company, took a policy out for my van and paid the premium up front 2 weeks before my previous policy expired, Autonet then take another £87 out of my bank account without my consent, theft?, I call them up which is a nightmare to get through to as thr call centre is in south Africa and they treat you like an idiot, talk down to you and generally make you feel like a piece of something off their shoe. Anyway they say I had a claim, which I didn't, so.they took more money (without my cosent). I told them I xan prove there was no claim and they weren't interested. I.then insisted my policy be shut down before the start date and all my money is refunded. They refused to refund the whole amount and are keeping £40. This was never explained to me and I'd rather not deal with such a poor insurance company that does not put its customers in regard. You only find out how good an insurance company is when you claim, in this case I found out before, awful company. Still fighting for my full refund and to change this where they can just dip their thieving hands into your bank and take money without consent. Please avoid these their is many unhappy customers out there with similar experiences.

What a shambles!!
They are quick enough to set you up a policy and take funds but
No use when trying to cancel or amend policy’s.
Get passed from pillar to post, no help, so resolve.
I had to go through so many call handlers to find a policy I’d cancelled down but was still paying for (8 months).
once finally cancelled down they sent letter to say I owe them an outstanding balance. Iv called and they’ve renewed the unwanted policy.
And then hung up!!

Hugely disappointed and I will be reporting them to the financial ombudsman.

I changed my profession midway through an insurance policy so contacted Autonet to make them aware of this change. I was informed by the call centre that there would be no increase in my premiums but I would occur a one off admin charge of £39.50 to cover the 2 minutes it took her to change the information on the policy and send me an email.

I wasn’t happy with this charge so asked her to cancel the policy with immediate effect. She told me “This isn’t necessary” and then after me explaining it’s my choice to cancel the police she pretended to transfer me but then cut the call off. I was busy at the time so didn’t return the call. After all it’s not my job to ask for charges I feel are excessive to be made by me.

I received an email with an attached pdf from autonet stating there would be no charge for this change in circumstances.

Then today I noticed an email I’d received explaining the insurance company had used my direct debit agreement to increase my premiums to cover the charge they put on me.

I will be cancelling my policy with this company first thing Monday morning but felt I’d air my views in the for of a review while I’m outraged.

Most robbers wear masks, this lot hide behind a keyboard. My previous car insurance was £750 pa. Changed my car, informed them & had to speak to 4 different people. They then wanted £2500pa for a similar car.
Tesco insurance was £800.
NO BRAINER
