What an amazing place to visit. The grounds have some stunning views over the beach. The rooms are kept in great condition. The staff were brilliant and informative.

There is parking at the castle which is £6 or you can park across the road in another car park.

The gift shop was great and there are toilets near the cafe's. I felt there was not enough toilets for the amount of visitors.

I only visited as part of a tour round the NE of England so only had time to wander round the outside of the castle. A magnificent presence in the landscape, especially from seaward or on a windy day to make the flags fly out. Bamburgh village is worth wandering round and is a good place to park before your walk.

This is the most impressive castle i have seen to date, the views are amazing and the history is second to none. The castle itself is massive and very imposing, just imagining being in that time having to look at this daunting castle, wow, absolutely amazing, definitely a must see for anyone that has ever watched the Last Kingdom.

Kind of only deserves 3 stars but I did enjoy the castle - mostly from the costal views, it's a beautiful imposing structure. The negatives for me personally are the entrance fee at £18, just a touch steep, and the castle feels more stately home once you're inside rather than Skipton's old feel for instance. Still a great visit, some people will give it 5 stars fairly based on their expectations.

A stunning, imposing Castle that has to be one of the best in Britain!

The car park is close to the Castle with electric trolley rides up to the grounds for people with difficulties. The hill is quite steep but the views are spectacular.

This is very close to being a complete castle with lots of rooms and exhibits to walk through, see and learn.

There are guided tours you can pay extra for or guide books are also available.

The castle has stood for over 1400 years so lots of history but is also linked with The Last Kingdom series in modern times where filming took place and is well documented in the gift shop.

Walking the castle walls you get the most spectacular views all around from the magnificent countryside to the North Sea including Lindisfarne and the Farne Isles.

The beach is close by should you want to complete the visit with a lovely walk on the sand or dip in the sea.

High recommend a visit, young and old alike. It will stir the lady or the knight in you!

Stunning site to visit.
Admittedly we expected more, by that we mean it's huge and there's buildings everywhere. But only one entrance in to what seemed a limited amount of areas. Could be wrong but seemed small on the inside.
Staff very friendly and the parts we saw were amazing with many exhibits and things to see.
Loved the dragon search for the kids.
The museum was a fun little thing we did and didn't know was there.
Beach looked lovely but was a very windy day so we avoided the beach.
The castle appeared well-maintained and appeared there was some accommodation (one reason we could see all the areas)
Parking was great but gets full fast £6 all day was a bargain.
And being so close to the castle was a bonus.
Definitely pre book ahead. We got in much faster compared to the on-the-gate purchases.

Awesome castle, definitely a thing of beauty.

The sea and beach are probably some of the best I have seen. Golden sand, just stunning.

Food in the cafe was great, very tasty.

Price-wise, I paid 50-something pounds for six of us, but two under-fives were free.

I kind of expected to pay maybe 30 pounds, and food prices are a little pricey (10 to 12 pounds), but you can get snacks for a couple of pounds, like donuts. We shared a meal as it got pricey for a large family.

Large parts of the castle are not open to the public, but the parts that are make the trip worthwhile.

I love *The Last Kingdom*, so for me, I had to go. Glad I did.

There is a lot of history, and the castle is excellently maintained and managed; all the staff were great.

I highly recommend a visit; anyone who hasn't been, it's definitely one of the best castles in the UK.

The beach is easily the best beach I've seen in the UK.

Car parking was cheap (6 pounds) and made walking up to the castle a breeze. I'm not sure why some people park so far away, but the car park staff were great and very welcoming.
