I was with this car insurance provider for a year, everything seemed ok until it came to my renewal. I received an email that explained I could see my renewal quote through the attachment they had sent me, the email explained my password was the reg and my date of birth however, when inserting these details, I was not granted access. Whilst I could not access these, and I was busy, I knew that I was going to be receiving a letter with the renewal details in a matter of days (like every other car insurance) and therefore I waited. Only, I received my renewal details by post over 14 days late and therefore my policy had automatically renewed (during which time I had been busy with work and personal life). Silly of me, I assumed that my renewal insurance was going to be a little lower or a little bit higher with the cost of living, the reality was it was double the amount!! I contacted the company and they said they could not negotiate the price because it was over the negotiable time phrase. I explained the renewal letter was dated two weeks to which I had received it, and that I could not access the attachment through the email they sent me. Their only explanation was that you cannot access the attachment through an iPhone which this isn’t explained in the email, however that made sense to why I couldn’t access it. They then apologised about me receiving my renewal cost over 14 days late. I stated I would like to cancel the policy as soon as possible (because in the meantime of being on the phone I had got a quote off compare the market which was half the price of this company). I also asked to speak to a manager at the same time to discuss the late postage, to which the call handler said “a manager normally calls back within 24 hours, however with you planning on cancelling then they won’t.” Confused, I asked “so if I cancel my policy then they won’t call me back?” They replied “no.” So I asked “if I pay another 24hours cover, I will receive a call back from the manager?” To which they replied “yes.” Unsatisfied with their response I agreed to cancel my policy but then they explained that I would receive a cancellation fee. I explained to the call handler that I would not be paying this fee, and that after 24 hours I was no longer contactable just like their manager after 24 hours. 🙂

Worst insurance I’ve ever come across. And if you need to make a claim the total loss them will happily take their time. A month they had my car before they even looked at it, when they did, they gave me an offer of half of what I payed for the car. Refused the offer, was told up to 5 days to hear from them again it’s about to be 10 days now. Avoid at all costs, would rather pay a lot extra than to go with these again

An experience not to be repeated!
Insurance taken out. Premium paid in full. All security validation checks and proof of NCD provided by me immediately. Unfortunately, I incorrectly failed to tick the box declaring a previous motoring offence (SP30 on 1 December 2019, 3 points and a fine) AA/BEAM invoked its right to cancel the policy in spite of my apology and explanation. Policy Validation Department totally inflexible and uncompromising to the point of being discourteous. It has been a nightmare trying to communicate with AA/BEAM's various departments (NCD Validation, Policy Validation) as neither seem to communicate directly with each other. In addition, email from NCD Validation was full of inaccuracies and did not even make sense! A total fiasco. Never again!
