Outstanding service from start to finish. I've used Bird & Co on a number of occasions now and I wouldn't ever use another solicitor.

Laura Jarman in particular was excellent throughout. She was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. Buying a house can be stressful however Laura made it as stress-free as possible, handling our queries efficiently and quickly and providing us with sound advice throughout.

Poor / disorganised sales process. The team don't seem cognisant of what services they are actually able to provide.

Instead of finding out or asking someone they wasted my time requesting I put the very simple request in writing. I then almost immediately recieved a confusingly worded response that seemed to translate to 'we dont actually do that'

It essentially implied they were too busy however I hadnt given anything in relation to timescales for them to do this assessment

We are extremely pleased with our experience using Bird & Co Solicitors for purchasing our first home. The process was made easy and done professionally. Team Chard dealt with the conveyance swiftly and efficiently - Sophie, Hannah and Grace were friendly and well-organized at every stage, keeping us updated all the time and happy to answer emails almost straightaway.
We also loved InTouch portal where we could see the progress and always know what part of the sales stage we were in. All my colleagues were amazed that I didn't have to call the solicitor's office even once to find out what's going on as I was able to check it online all the time.

I cannot recommend Bird & Co enough! They were absolutely fantastic with our purchase as first-time buyers that consisted of 3 people in the chain. Solicitors generally get a bad reputation for being slow and unresponsive. Bird & Co were the complete opposite, especially from my own experience with Rebecca Taskers team. I frequently emailed Lauretta with many questions, seeked clarification & updates and she always replied on the same day (majority of the times it was immediately!). The In Touch portal was extremely easy to use for uploading documents & keeping an eye on where we were in the process with its helpful, visual tracker. There could be some work done here to get this tracker updated more regularly though.

They were the most expensive quote that we got from various solicitors, but they had a quicker average turnaround time from offer to exchange than others (was told 8 weeks, whereas others advised 11-14!), and we particularly liked that they had the online element for ease. So, we was happy to pay more for a quick process & to have it streamlined as much as possible. I like that other colleagues in the team pick up the communications while another is on holiday, which you don't sometimes find with solicitors. They also had so many good reviews which really helped to make our decision.

We had instructed Bird & Co on the 20th September, and are completing on 16th December. This is a very quick turnaround considering that a seller in the chain was on holiday for one of those weeks which had halted any replies that we needed, and a solicitor in the chain was on holiday for 2 weeks at the start which had also slowed the process.

Thanks again to the team for being very efficient, speedy and chasing everyone in the chain to get replies to enquiries received and property report written, all in time for us to get our wish of being in the property before Christmas!
