I recently reached out to Birnbeck Insurance in hopes of obtaining a quote for my fabrication insurance needs. Unfortunately, my experience with them was nothing short of disappointing. Despite being a potential customer seeking their services, I was met with a complete lack of willingness to even provide me with a quote unless I provided an existing premium. This isn't how insurers should do business. If you're looking for this specific insurance; stay clear.

Edit: I made it perfectly clear that I would bear the cancellation fee on the existing policy if Birnbeck were competitive. So my renewal date had nothing to do with it. They're not interested in quoting new business unless they have your existing premium. This is a poor way of doing business. I'd highly recommend Birnbeck to take every quotation seriously in future. Insurance brokers are closing in their waves and with their attitude, I'm not surprised. You are entitled to ask me questions in relation to the risk and I provided my renewal terms. Asking for my renewal premium has nothing to do with the risk, it's just an underhanded way of trying to make as much commission as possible.
