I've been desperate to find somewhere to leave a review of British Pet Insurance as I cannot thank them enough for the ongoing support they have given myself and my horse.
Dealing with illness and injury in a pet is nothing short of awful but it breaks my heart when I hear that, on top of that, owners struggle claiming on insurance they've paid out to in good faith. British Pet Insurance have set a new standard for me. I've never had to claim for my horse and in the past 2 years, health-wise things have not been going smoothly for him. He's had everything from gastric ulcers to unexplained lameness to motor neurone disease - I honestly couldn't have made it up and with every heartbreak I've had, there's always been a friendly, helpful person at the end of the line. Never challenging or making things difficult, just looking for the right documents. There have been times when I've cried, laughed and been totally fed up but those at the end of the line are always professional, but more than that compassionate! Unlike many other insurers they seem to understand the trauma that is caused by having your pet diagnosed with these conditions.
Where they've needed to, they've followed up with the vets, keeping me in the loop but never putting pressure on me to do the running around or ask the complicated questions. They've supported every piece of advice the vet has given and I even got a phonecall off my vet practice to say they were so impressed with the timely and professional manner that British Pet Insurance deals with the claims. I cannot recommend British Pet Insurance enough and want to say an enormous thank you to all those who have been there for myself and my horse over the past few years. It is never nice having a sick animal but your compassion and diligence has made all the difference in helping him and myself to deal with this in the best way we can.
