The morning after our garage electrical fire the place looked a mess in the cold light of day. Paul from Brooklands Claims was on hand straight away to get things moving with our insurance company and explain what would happen. Paul arranged firstly for a company to come in and clear up the mess which included taking down the damaged garage which was unsafe. As well as the garage building there was also a large range of tools within the garage. I detailed the tools which were lost and Paul went over the list alongside the list produced by the cleaners to make sure I hadn’t left anything off. The next job was to totally rebuild the garage and the builder that was allocated to this task was brilliant. He told us who would be doing what and when along with when materials would be arriving. The builder stuck rigidly to this plan and when he said the bricklayers would build all the walls over a weekend I was amazed bit sceptical but true to their word it was actually completed by two bricklayers in a day and a half. They worked really hard in the early summer heat and lots of cooling liquid refreshments were needed. A joiner arrived on site and put up the roof ready for the rubber waterproof layer and guttering. It was now ready for the Forman to replace the wiring and lighting in the garage.
We were very pleased with this group of builders all of whom were hard working and jovial. They completed their tasks and often asked if we were pleased with how things were progressing, which we were. We have no complaints about these builders and would happily recommend them to anyone.
With garage replaced and the tools replaced Paul came out to inspect the finished job and to make sure we were happy with how things had gone. I must say that Brooklin Claims took a lot of worry and running around away from us by simply getting on with these tasks that they do so well. We would be happy to recommend this company to anyone unfortunately in a similar position.
