Do not touch this company if you do not use your car on a daily basis IE ( if you have a medical issue) my elderly mother had this insurance company and only used the car once or twice per week to go for appointments and a little shopping as she has respiratory issues and could not get down her close every day. The company continually send harassing emails tell you they will cancel your policy if the tracker is not plugged back in, Purley because the car hasn't moved in a few days!. And they have now cancelled her policy as a result of this. This is even after the updated amount of miles used is in line with what you have put on the policy at time of purchase. When I complained by email there was no response within the 72 hours they said they would respond within. When I then called their office I was then told they were sorry about the policy being cancelled under such circumstances ( health issues) but there is nothing they can do about it. I was then advised that in actual fact the complaint that I put in would be responded to in 8 weeks. Totally unsatisfactory! I gave pictures of the tracker in use and several emails explaining why the car hasn't moved, yet the will not re-instate the policy. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid! Noone needs this hassle!

very deceitful unorganised company

had my car sold and did not cancel the insurance until a few days later.
I contacted bymiles with clear evidence of when the car was sold, the staff confirmed he was able to track the miles I last used and requested a receipt for car sale indicating the date which I emailed over straight away

however, they still took money from my bank without my consent £128 and refused to refund it even when clearly knowing it was not myself driving and the person buying it had his own cover.

sad to see companies taking every opportunity to steal their customers money knowing it doesn't belong to them

do not recommend them at all nor will insure with them again.

I was with By Miles for two years 1st year was ok but the second year I wish I had not renewed as they stole money from my account I would advise caution with this company.

This seemed good for the first year, I was getting charged 4p per mile. In the second year this shot up to 17p and it’s been terrible, I barely use my car and after 1 year of this rate I’m paying over £150 more than what I would have paid if I had just went for a normal insurance. I really would avoid. I really wished I’d cancelled eairlier took the hit of the £50 cancellation fee as I still would have been better off.

A great experience and no issues with the app or tracker. I saved a good amount of money as I work from home and only drive for social purposes.
Sadly they doubled the cost per mile after year 1, so i did not renew this year.

I have been with by miles for 3 years and each year they keep doubling the charge per mile! Overall definitely not worth it with the tracker etc better off
Going for with a normal provider. Avoid!

En the end same as all traditional insurers. Scammers at renewal time. Fist year very nice good pricing. I had 5k miles allowance and I only drove 2k as I was sick and could not drive, which you cannot carry over to next year. I also got and extra 1k mile reward for recommending a friend.6k mile in total.

On purpose, They disable to switch off Auto Renewals. At renewal, time they just tripled my insurance pricing and force me to reduce miles allowance from 5k to 2k and double my excess to have similar pricing as previously.
So my insurance increased nearly 3 to 4 times from 6p/mile to nearly 20p/mule. No justification.

Recommendation: enjoy the first year of insurance, contact support to disable auto-renewal. Find another insurance for year 2.

Penalising good drivers SCAMMERS!!!

Also, their tracker drained my battery completely every time I did not drive my car for more than 3 weeks.

This is a scamming insurance company do not be fooled by the low prices at thr beginning, they also charge you 100s of pounds if you drive 5 miles over your limit.
