We haven't needed to make a claim so I can't speak to that. But they are very professional on the phone and I always call initially to discuss the renewal. They respond quickly by email to make adjustments to the policy at renewal stage. Making payment online is seamless.

Have been with Caravan Guard for 14 years. Insured 12 Motorhomes and 4 caravans with them. Yes, very fickle, if we didn’t like, we changed. Have been a great ambassador for them, belonging to several forums and recommending them. In 14 years, never made a claim.
Just insured latest motorhome with them. Bought, unfortunately from Brownhills whom we would not recommend to anyone but they had the model and colour interior I liked. Two days after purchase, all packed up ready to go on holiday, van would not start. Rang Caravan Guard breakdown. Spoke to a man who, immediately did not inspire me with confidence. Stated the problem van would not start and on our driveway. Gave me an ET of 60 to 90 minutes. After 90 minutes rang again, only to speak to man who had took my initial call. Said I did not have “Home Start”!
Useless person - so why did he not inform me at start instead of me waiting 90 minutes😡. In 14 years, I have never been informed of this by Caravan Guard.
When I changed my insurance to new motorhome I explained I would be changing my number plate to my personal one as soon as I got log book. I hoped, as previously, I would not be charged admin fee. The woman said I would😲.
Following my disastrous experience with their breakdown operative, I will be ringing to change my reg. Let’s hope they don’t charge me. I have two cars insured with Direct Line. I can amend anything online, without charge! Caravan Guard say they like to speak in person - NO THEY WANT TO EXTRACT EVERY PENNY THEY CAN FROM YOU. If they take an Admin fee from me this week when I amend my reg. I will never recommend them again.
Insurance Companies want to get up to speed with anti theft devices. No one can steal a van with Levellers on. Impossible.
Had them fitted to last two motorhomes. Even caravans are getting them fitted. No reduction, however, in premiums!

Had a call regarding my renewal from Lisa. Very professional, but interested and friendly too. Didn't realise I had insured with the company for 17 years, but that is maybe down to not feeling the need to look elsewhere. Reasonable quote, approachable staff and willing to explain everything in easy to understand language.
Thankfully, haven't had to claim, but given how easy they are to communicate with, I have no fear that it would be professionally handled. Thank you.

Cancelled my policy after 10 years loyal customer. Billed me £37 . When I refused they billed me £47 and then £57 and threats of court action with every letter. Disgraceful company.

I have a motorhome policy with Caravan Guard underwritten by Royal Sun Alliance. Been with them for 9 years.

Whilest away on holiday we stayed at relatives house in Italy and parked the Motorhome in a park specifically for motor homes and cars etc, costs a fortune. Anyway somebody broke in breaking a window and blind cassette but took nothing.

Tried to make a claim but they said we were not insured because we hadnt told them that we would be storing the van at this location.

It just goes to show that you get what you pay for, cheap is cheap for a reason. Never again, lesson learnt the hard way.

We insured the motor home with caravan guard fab team very polite and friendly on the phone I also had my parents insure their caravan and they was impressed how easy they made it and the price was better than anywhere els too snd offered more coverage!! Highly recommend

I’ve given two stars because the staff are polite and helpful.

However, in 2024, I’m somewhat speechless to hear “we can provide cover for you, but not your wife”…I think that breaks a whole host of discrimination laws in itself.

So two, fifty plus year olds, both with 30 years driving history, no convictions and no accidents, buying a new motorhome and they can only get the ‘underwriters’ to cover me to drive because they are worried my wife is more likely to have an accident than I am!

WHAT...Utterly bonkers & THE ONLY broker to think this is an issue. Apparently women can’t drive as well as men if you believe their underwriting.

Been with Caravan Guard nearly 2 years. Motorhome a Warwick Duo peugeot got stolen in July. They put me through hell to point i was so depressed i was put on anti depressants. They didn't payout even though i had extra security on. Reason was because it wasnt on a driveway. Police even said it would still have got stolen on a driveway as the thieves obv really wanted it to get through a clamp,disklok,alarm, they ripped wired tracker off too,alarm and immobiliser to steal it.Lost £55,000! The motorhome and all my belongings and equipment Everything I owned gone. Totally ruined my life forever. I'm disabled and the motorhome was everything to me. Devasted beyond words. They dont care just said "it's just a van".
