Last Friday (25th July) I had an appointment to double check a new pair of glasses that I was having a bit of trouble ‘settling into’. The care and attention that I received was impeccable. To make sure they had been made to the correct prescription one gentleman (I think called Aron) did further thorough eye tests and another gentleman (forgive me, I’ve forgotten his name) checked the set up of the frames and tolerances of the lenses etc, equally thoroughly.
I’m now giving myself a bit of time to adjust to the glasses and I’m pretty sure it’s working. Thank you all for the work and effort you put in. It’s hugely appreciated.

I was pleased to receive a call from Cecil Amey with a prompt to attend for my 2 yearly NHS eye test as my glasses had done me good service for 4 years but were definitely rather scratched and worn. An appointment was quickly arranged and the eye test was conducted very professionally with full explanations regarding my eye health and prescription changes.
I enjoyed the process of selecting new frames with helpful commentary from the assistant and my wife, following which I was taken through the choice of lenses, coatings and eye protections, again with very helpful explanations.
Decisions made, I was advised that my new glasses would take one to two weeks to prepare, so imagine my delight when they arrived just five days after my test - test on Monday, glasses on Friday!
Collected my new specs the next day, Saturday, and after fitting adjustments, left with a much clearer view of life! Altogether excellent service all round.

Shame there are only 5 stars as would definitely have given more. Disillusioned with my previous optician a neighbour recommended I try Cecil Amey in Aylsham. WOW what a difference, from the initial phone contact, the staff are friendly,happy & confident with excellent knowledge from the outset making me feel at ease.The whole experience left me feeling confident that my needs were addressed, right down to the selection of lenses & frames. Will definitely be back & wouldn't hesitate in recommending this opticians.
