On retirement I was recommended by my accountant to seek Charlwoods advice on consolidation of my various employment pensions. I found them all to be most efficient, helpful and friendly. As a result some ten years later, I did not hesitate to seek their further advice in consolidating mine and my wifes investments with a number of different providers, into a single cost and tax effective portfolio.

Having moved to the area from Wales we decided to look for a local independant financial advisor. We arranged an appointment to meet Jon Tuck of Charlwood IFA and were impressed with his investment pension and tax knowledge and his openness and friendliness. He undertook a full financial review and sent us a report within 2 weeks and arranged a meeting with us to discuss in detail.
He explained in detail and made recommendations.So we appointed him to look after our finances.
Investment and pension transfers were actioned with Jon and his colleague Andrew Kemp taking the stress away and dealing with all communications with the other companies. I discovered Charlwood in 2018 when looking to invest two pension pots. I was impressed by the returns they had been consistently achieving from their low to medium risk income portfolio. I also liked that they are Discretionary Investment Managers which basically means that they can react far more quickly to market changes. Eventually at that time I didn't do anything and I continued to work. However this year I have finally decided to take the plunge.

The process starts (at least it did for me) with an analysis of my finances and needs, culminating in a free financial report which includes recommendations.

My dealings have been with Martyn, Jon and more recently Andrew. Also not forgetting Amy. All have been absolutely excellent and I feel that I am in very safe hands.
