Absolute scam of a firm. They had put me on a direct debit plan so the monthly payments were automatic, however they billed me for additional things without my knowledge or consent. I had to fight with them just to get a full refund as they only wanted to refund me partially. On top of that, they seriously overcharge on their package deals to handle all accounts. They also bill you for any small additional requests while already on a full package monthly retainer. They severely impacted my company's cashflow due to so many direct debit bills and ever since I moved to a new firm, my company is back to normal. The new firm I am with are a lot more affordable and they do not charge for additional things such as using the firm's registered address for the company and any small documents that need to be filled out. Charterhouse had billed me an absurd fee just to fill out a 1 page mortgage document which probably took them 15 minutes to do with some copy & pasting. My new accountants told me they would have done this free of charge and that I am being ripped off. If that wasn't bad enough, one of their employees had blocked my phone number when I confronted him about a lot of their mistakes. An accountant/firm is supposed to look after your company and their finances, not jeopardise them. Use them at your own risk
