Expert in stealing…a cancelled flight via easyJet although I paid for insurance to cover the costs that I paid they eluded from paying a pence because of the reason of the cancellation!!!expecting from travellers to be technical expert in aerospace engineering!
On top of the insurance policy didn’t mention what are the covered reasons and what aren’t just cancellation…yet they escaped from paying.
The one who was taking my case was named Kauther decent in talking to anyone who is claiming but expert in misinformation and saying sorry that’s the case.
Highly unrecommended and never again!

On holiday.. got spiked, went to clinic for fluids.. sent paperwork in and they've told me I shouldn't have drank so much..

I had 4 beers..

Tried telling them there putting words I'm my mouth etc.. started saying I need a laboratory report.
I was in no condition to attempt to get one.. Especially being in a foreign speaking country.

Wasn't much so not bothered.. defo won't use post office insurance again though.

It's interesting reading all the other reviews, which I certainly don't doubt, but I have to say that I am very pleased with my albeit simple claim. I took out cruise cover, and was able to claim for both delayed departure and missed port visit. The 2 occasions I rang, the phone was answered quickly and courteously (as commented elsewhere it was obviously in South Africa). I emailed the letter from the cruise company to them as requested, and within a couple of hours they confirmed the claim would be met as per the policy, and needed no extra information. Payment was made within 5 days. I really cannot fault them. Reading about more complex cases though, it does make me worry about using them again if something more serious were to occur.

Really disappointing. I paid more than usual to be covered by a good provider, so I’ve lost out on a cheaper travel insurance deal, as well as not getting a refund back from my cancelled flights. They don’t send you the full document to review the small print. Also don’t actually give you any money back if you claim. Our trip had been cancelled and we needed to rebook flights, car and accommodation - of which we received a standard balance of £50 from the insurer. Don’t bother, use another provider instead.

Time to go to the insurance bureau investigation over these criminals, I have a legitimate claim after I paid top dollar for 1 month short trip, thank God I'm home safe and the claim isn't for anything medical, they would've left me for dead 1000%, they tried calling from a spam number, worth a fine for that one, and asking for same info by email and more details needed after giving them more than they will ever need, they don't respond to emails and the Claims helpline is basically dead all week ! Disgusting low life criminals hiding behind what sounds like a well established British company, all foreign scammers , everything works beautifully when you first pay the fee, what follows completely drains all confidence of trust, they don't care they are raking it in and not paying out, pure profit and totally ILLEGAL !!!

I felt obliged to write Collinson Insurance Group a review, due to the excellent service I received from them with my claim and to give them some support, what with all the negative reviews they have received on this platform.

I booked a holiday last year to Thailand from the 3rd May - 5th June and, during my last week on holiday, unfortunately I crashed the motorbike I was renting and had to be admitted into hospital for surgery. The total amount of the medical costs came to over £1000, so naturally I was very disappointed to have to pay out such a large amount of money.

I had taken out insurance with the Post Office - who supply insurance through Collinson - and so, when I returned home, I began the process of trying to make a claim to get at least some of the money back that I had spent on medical bills. I was told by a customer adviser to upload certain documents - such as: medical certificates; credit card transactions and flight booking details etc - which I promptly did. I was also required to get my GP to fill out and sign a document, so I got on top of that as well.

In the month of August, I then received an email to say that my settlement had been processed and that I would receive payment within 5 days. Collinson were true to their word, and I received a payment of £1038.44 into my bank account - a reimbursement of the FULL cost of my medical bills. To say I was overjoyed is an understatement. The whole process took only around two months to resolve, which is not really a long time, as insurance companies do need time to look into claims etc.

I was later thrilled to learn that I would also be receiving compensation for my cancelled flight, as, due to my accident, it wasn’t suitable for me to travel on the date that I had originally booked to return home, and so I had to make a new booking at a later date.

To the people complaining in the comments about having to wait very long periods of time for reimbursement, I can only guess that these individuals have not taken the time to fully read the requirements of the insurance company - such as the specific documents that are needed for a claim to be submitted - or I’m certain that they would have been reimbursed by now.

I do a lot of traveling and will never hesitate to use this insurance company again, due to the excellent service I received from them when making a claim last year.

Highly recommend. 5*

It took them close to a year and a half to assess my travel medical claims. Then, a year later, they turned around and told me I needed documents that I can no longer obtain from the time of the accident. What a joke of a company—clearly using the tactic of deny, delay, and defend. Fortunately, I’m in a financial position to absorb the cost; otherwise, I would have been left in an overseas hospital with no way to pay.

Bought as Post Office holiday insurance - that we have had for years but never needed to claim previously.

Had to cancel our holiday due to illness, back in April. Made a claim and sent all the details requested. Instantly got an email back saying my claim had been rejected.
Contacted them by phone, to discuss the reason and sent further information. Have chased numerous times to get feedback and get put on hold for a few minutes then " its being investigated and we'll be back to you in a few days (as they are extremely busy) - yet they have reduced the phone times to 9am - 1pm !!
Today August, i have been asked to send all the details again!!
Obvious ploy of delaying tactics hoping you give up. - they just might of picked the wrong fight this time.

Awful.
