These people are nothing but parasites. The "verification" system is opaque in the extreme and guarantees nothing. The only reason any company that has ISO applies for the Micky Mouse accreditation is because Construction Line have sold their snake oil to dimwit procurement people.

They take your money before they verify you. If you don't want to proceed they refuse to refund your money. Why take the money before you verify, I think it should be charged after vetting. Been with them for over one year as a verified, came back to renew and they charge me joining fee again. It's a scam and you get no value for the certificate.

This company is almost impossible to deal with, I just called them, a message says to use the online facility and then cuts off. I tried the online facility, it said we can't help now try again later.
My account has being showing as not verified for months, and I am unable to find out why. We only use it because we are forced to by some of our clients, If I could I would give them no stars, it is the worst business I have ever had to deal with. We are also with Achilles Building Confidence, who do the same thing but are extremely efficient, very easy to contact, and couldn't be more helpful.

This is one of the worst companies I have dealt with. We went to Gold but it is still not showing on our account 5 days later. The customer advisor said it was probably due to a delay in updating at our end. This has now caused major problems with a client who is refusing to pay until they can see proof of our Gold status. More or less every other week we seem to have to submit new information to keep the Gold status. It's like being held to ransom! I have been on the phone for over an hour on hold. Absolute joke of a company. Edit: 2 hours later and still no call back. I guess people are "working from home"!
Edit no 2: Great, we were Gold on Friday, by Wednesday we were unverified again and had to submit Equal Opps which were already on there! They seem to put every obstacle in the way to prevent us from obtaining Gold.

Endless questions added annually. It seems to get more difficult & time consuming to complete every year. Now many Clients advising that they no longer accept time dated certification, so one has to constantly update criteria in order to remain "verified" in the Client's eyes. As a business, we are trying to remain profitable & intact but this enduring chore of remaining verified is no longer proving to be cost effective. If only the Government were subjected to this level of scruitiny, perhaps we would all see better value, accountability & efficiency from them? Also, the larger Clients demanding constant "verification" would do well to look at how they pay Sub-Contractors. It is not uncommon for payments to be held off for months & with retentions (Construction industry) even years!
One really does wonder if the whole thing is worth it & in these financially worrying times, if this is not an area in which the money would be better spent elsewhere!

Started our Gold Verification process around two weeks ago and today received notification that we had achieved the standard. Throughout the process the team at Constructionline have been very supportive and helpful. Submitting documents and data a breeze via their website and often items verified the same day, albeit in the evening or over night. Overall very pleased with the service and process received.

Awful. Their online portal is dreadful. To gain Gold accreditation they require the most ridiculous information. They give you a choice of yes, no, N/A answers, choose anything but yes and it's a wrong answer, So why have multiple choice answers?! Be aware they will change questions throughout the year, so gaining gold doesn't mean that's it for the year! If you can choose Safecontractor or SMAS instead and thank me later!
