Wouldn’t recommend this company, had car insurance with this company. I was at the park and my keys were stolen. Called my insurance explained the situation was advised by the agent to go home and collect spare keys. When I got home went back to where the car was, car was gone.
Company tried to not pay me out took months to settle in the end paid me out but effected my five years claims bonus. Tried to take me payments to £3k per year.
Put it down to a staff error, still kept pushing blame on to me was advised if they didn’t pay I could take them to court.
Had to log in to my google account screenshot the route I took home and duration to get from my house and back to my car. Made me jump through hoops tired to get out of paying me out but it didn’t work. Also experienced PTSD over car being stolen and car was never recovered.
Put me also financial hardship being out of a car living in a remote area and getting to medical appointments day to day tasks and raising a child.( when I got my pay out money was deducted stating the owner who had my car before me was involved had an accident which they collected money from. Asking me did I know. Because people are obligated to tell you this right? Not sure why I had to pay for something had nothing to do with me).

Some one crashed into my car while it was stanionary the claim process is useless basically I had to do everything my self basically had to do there job for them and took 2 months to pick my car up the system they use is the worst I've ever come across. In total it took 4 months to fix a bit of paint on the bumper and a wing mirror absolutely useless and then my renewal was double the price absolutely crazy

Bought a car breakdown policy in January but when my vehicle broke down on 11th December and I rang to arrange recovery, no one could find my policy on the system. Spent 4 hours being transferred to various departments and being cut off by customer services teams who either didn't understand the issue or just sounded completely fed up when I spoke to them. Transferred to several departments and given numerous phone numbers to try to verify my policy. Eventually tried the sales team who advised the problem was because they hadn't recorded my home post code on the policy. Won't be renewing my policy again, absolutely dreadful customer service and all caused by an issue with Coop not setting my account details up correctly. Luckily I was parked in a safe place or could have been much worse. At 5.45pm was told that recovery truck would be with me about 9.46pm. Was rang by Coop / AXA Assist to say we could have a taxi home and the car would be collected later and to leave the car key with the pub staff. Taxi arrived quickly and got us home about 9pm. Recovery company rang at 12.05am to say they had only just arrived with the car and could only bring the car back as the pub had closed so couldn't get the car key! Car arrived back home at 2am, 11 hours after I first tried to contact someone to get the car recovered. Reported missing car key to Coop/ AXA Assist at 11.30am on 12th December and almost 24 hours later and 8 phone calls, I'm still waiting for customer services to contact me to get my car key back!

Please for your own peace of mind, you need to avoid them like the plague.
I used them for a year, but when the time came for renewal I chose to shop around as is my right and I needed multi insurance for motor and content. I have been asking for my No Claims discount for the past 2 and half weeks now. I asked for it to be sent to my email and was told they had done that but I never received it. I gave 3 different emails, still nothing. I asked for it to be sent by post to my home address. I am still waiting for it to arrive. I have made several calls in now, none of which I will get compensated for or got a result for.
They need to do better. I sure will not be using them again.

Appalling service we phoned up to change my policy (after the 12months)as we found it cheaper by hundreds of £££ basically got hit with a £35 cancellation fee for not informing them days in advance 24 hours is not enough notice apparently, & to top it off the person on the phone was just rude

Definitely will remember this & would definitely not use co op ever again

Phone system has two many options and the robot part is frustrating as hell. Really poor customer experience. Does not work. When phoning you want to be able to speak to somebody as soon as possible. Feels like you are being sent around in circles and passed from one deptarment to another!

They renewed my home insurance automatically without discussing the huge increase in the policy to around £800 per annum ! When I called to discuss this they were not in the least interested , the rookie advisor repeated said that they seek the most competitive quotes,
I found a much better level of cover with another bank at less than a third of the price they quoted.
I was with this lot for over 35 years and they were not bothered that I left.
They take their customers for mugs
AVOID !!!!!
