I was with this company for over four years. When I noticed water stains under my house floor, I reported the issue and was asked to pay an initial fee of £250, which I did. After a month with no action, I called them again as the issue was getting worse—it seemed like water was escaping from the ground.

Only then did they take action, but it took over 8 months. Eventually, I received a letter stating they would not proceed further with my case and that my policy would be terminated in two weeks. When I called to ask about my outstanding claim, they simply said it was declined. I requested a report explaining why, but they did when I asked. I filed a complaint, but they still refused to help.

This is one of the worst home and landlord insurance companies I’ve dealt with. If you’re considering staying with them, think twice.

Arch insurance and their loss adjuster CMSL were totally dreadful after a fire caused by a moronic plumber with a blow torch. I was fully covered however they did not honour the claim. My lawyers said it was down to one man in the company who took a dislike to me and my calling everyday for help. I lost £100,000.
DO NOT USE CMSL, insist on another loss adjuster. John Farnell was the man who basically refused to co-operate.
What is insurance for other than to be rescued if the worst happens?
My fire was 5 years ago, i still think of it every day and of the dangerous and incompetent plumber who caused it. Moral is, you cant trust anyone especially John Farnell. He bored me to tears with all of his pathetic stories on his experience in life, he was just trying to impress. Unprofessional. 🔥🧯🚒

UNBELIVEABLE BAD - please do not use the Davies Group
They NEVER respond to phone calls or emails - always busy...
I honestly called my loss adjuster 10 times without a single reply. I eventually got a response when I escalated their terrible customer service to his boss.
They will try anything to get out of honouring their policy - seriously, please do not waste your money on these charlatans.
I will happily provide examples of their poor service to stop you wasting your money.

This company is an absolute joke .. they are supposed to be dealing with my insurance claim . A police hit my car when I wasnt there . Police admitted liability and Davies group is the company I unfortunately have to deal with. They are intermediary .
So there sole interest is to keep money for themselves .
Absolutely fuming they ignore phone calls
Called several times over 4 days . No one answers the phone . Longest I tried was 1 hour 26 mins with the phone on loud speaker .. press option and 1 and someone will answer in 5 mins and tell you have the wrong department ..option 3 never answers ...

The communications I’ve had with Davies Group were very poor and unorganised. It takes them up to 5 working days to reply to an email and when you call you have to sit through 1-2 minutes of automated robot speech before you start actually calling an operator. Once you’re through you’re then again on hold for ages until they transfer you to someone else and then the cycle continues.

Eventually my claim was paid out but for the hassle and mental fatigue it caused I wish I would’ve gone with a different insurer.

Useless company, it took them over 3 months to tell me my claim was rejected. This was after I escalated to a complaint and even them they didn't care what I have to say.

They've got no empathy and only care about money, do not take out any kind of insurance policy with them as they will not honour it.

Took well over 2 months for the whole process don't get my phone fixed, Which I wouldn't have minded but they never contacted me it was always me calling for updates! They had my phone for 3 weeks being "repaired" with no update what so ever, no one in customer service could tell me what was going on and eventually told me they couldn't fix it! Won't be using again, policy was cancelled as soon as it was resolved!

Took 2 months and over 7 hours of phone calls to both Davies and O2 to sort a claim for a lost phone worth just over £200! When finally agreed with Davies, they arranged a replacement phone to be sent and said it would take 5 days. After 5 days (and not received) we phoned and they said there had been a 'glitch' with their system. They re-ordered and said all would be fine. We phone the following day to check, and it STILL had not gone through! They finally agreed to a financial settlement. Not happy with all the wasted time and hassle!
