My experience with Morris and Co has been extremely disappointing. Despite running a small company they managed to mishandle my tax return and caused me unnecessary stress. It’s unacceptable for a professional accounting firm to make such mistakes.
Their communication skills are also severely lacking and I was met with delays and excuses or lack of responsiveness whenever I reached out to them.
Now that I'm trying to transfer my information to a different accountant they are ignoring my emails yet again.
I strongly advise you to save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for an accountant.

I have used Morris and Co for almost two decades for my taxes and accounting. They are so helpful and patient, and will go out of their way to assist you. Even when I moved abroad I continued to use them for my non dental taxes. I have used many accountants over the years but Matthew Norton more recently, who is fabulous.

I rarely leave a negative review, however this company simply charged me top whack to crunch a few numbers and produce accounting records and tax returns. They were not proactive in using their tax expertise to help me organise my affairs in a more tax efficient way or to help me grow my business and improve cash flow (for example I feel I would have benefitted from incorporating many years ago yet it was only when I did my own research and pushed for it that it happened). They suffer from having too many sub departments and each time I called I was dealt with by a different person. Whilst the individuals there are no doubt highly knowledgeable within their respective fields I feel this disjointed approach to client account management has cost me thousands of pounds. I moved to a local firm and now have a single point of contact, get almost immediate responses to my emails and am confident that they share my vision of growing my business and investments in a tax efficient way. To sum up my new accountant says "This is what we recommend you do." Morris and Co used to say the words any client of an accountant dreads to here "This is what you should have done". Of course, by then it' too late. If you have been with this firm for a few years, how about a change and get a fresh, single pair of eyes to look at your affairs - it might save you cash.

I have used Morris & Co for my digital marketing agency for just over two years now for monthly payroll, general accounting advice and year-end accounts. They also helped us when re-evaluating software packages to move to a cloud-based solution at no extra charge.

Whilst we deal with different people for the various areas of expertise, our main contact, Desirie Lea, is always accessible when needed via email and face-to-face. Importantly, I can leave my book keeper to liaise with Morris & Co directly on most day-to-day matters, saving me time I can use elsewhere more productively.

After being a client for 5 years, I have moved due to the company standards slipping dramatically.
While many of the employees have been helpful over the years, I have spent over 3 months trying to my information passed over to my new accountants.
While I could have excused this if I had been offered an apology, I have instead been patronised and spoken down to by a Director who seems to have every excuse under the sun for the delay in tasks.
If you are looking for a company who will respect you and your business do not use these accountants

Morris & Co have been supporting my business with payroll, pensions & accountancy for 7 years and everyone we've ever dealt with has been very professional and incredibly helpful. I wasted a year using a local accountant and I heartily regret it. Moco are extremely quick to respond to all queries, and they don't even mind the really stupid ones I ask them from time to time! I don't expect my accountant to reply to my emails at 9pm, but Moco often do

Position themselves as accountants for franchisees however, I didn't find services or anything uniquely tailored in this respect. Not worth paying over the odds when the services of a regular qualified accountant is sufficient to fulfil the needs of a small business. Furthermore, I never felt I was given advice proactively to minimise tax liabilities just the minimum to fulfil the company's obligations.

Also, with regret, a special mention to Jonathan Curtis who works there. I simply cannot recommend dealing with him or using him as your point of call. Will talk until the cows come home and explains things in such a convoluted way that it is sometimes better to hang up and ask to speak to someone else in his team who will resolve your queries more clearly and concisely.
