We contacted Donald and his wife having been very frustrated with another surveyor who didn't understand our needs for a valuation to pay off our help to buy loan. Donald and his wife were incredibly understanding and offered us lots of advice prior to engaging their services. As we were unsure about spending further on further surveying services. A recent search for a local Party Wall Surveyor led me to Donald Leslie & Co. I found Donald extremely knowledgeable and patient which, as a ‘first-timer’, was very much appreciated! He liaised with both neighbours on my behalf and delivered the Party Wall Agreement to schedule. Thanks must also go out to Angela, who explained the process and outlined the fee structure to me during our first conversation, which ensured that there were no surprises further down the line. Detailed, insightful and incredibly trustworthy. Probably the best choice we made in the home-buying/selling process was to work with Donald and Angela. We've commissioned surveys from them on two separate occasions (selling and buying) and both times have been hugely impressed with their thoroughness, knowledge and focus. I needed a specialist surveyor due to cladding in my flat. I spoke to Donald and Leslie and they explained the process thoroughly to me. I can whole heartedly say...Donald & Leslie cares about what they do. Donald turned up and explained everything to me and was very thorough with the valuation. Once he completed the report, he was kind enough to call me and discuss how he came to the valuation figure. They went beyond call of duty to help me get the correct valuation. Professional yet friendly and approachable. Fantastic service. I used Donald's services and his report and advise was so comprehensive that it helped me make an informed decision not to go ahead with the property. I had no hesitation in using his services for the next one which I did end up buying again mainly on his in-depth survey. A month back I got a note from a solicitor acting on behalf of my neighbor that an extension I was planning could mean third party wall issues. Angela and Donald to the rescue again. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending then.

We asked Donald to carry out a survey at quite short notice for a property we were planning to buy. Although the house is relatively new we decided to do things properly and find out everything there was to know, especially as we are planning to rent it out to tenants. Donald provided a thorough survey identifying key elements which required attention and which ultimately led to the vendor reducing the price to accommodate the work that needed to be done. What impressed us about Donald's service was the speed at which he attended and gave us initial verbal feedback, and the depth of the final full report.
