Leasehold Property Equity Release

From the outset of my Equity Release application Kerry explained that Lenders consider most Leasehold properties, with their high level of statutory annual Ground Rent linked to contractual increases ( 50% every 10 years in my case) and current service charges, that become a complete unknown in future years, to be Onerous. Therefore most will not make any kind of offer.
The few that might may make one, as in my case, may require renegotiation of these lease conditions, before finalising. That was totally impractical, not least due to the large additional legal costs that would have been incurred by both myself and my landlord which I would have been liable for.
I soon found out that I was embarking on a lengthy white knuckle ride, impossible to pursue without Kerry’s friendly, helpful professional guidance, advice and support. Her approach was very detailed, yet easy for me to understand. There were many obstacles encountered, that had to be overcome, before finally obtaining a positive result.
