I totally see why this company has low review scores. Customer service is terrible. No transparency at all. My claim was denied due to an issue from the previous homeowner that we later discovered. Which was totally not our fault. I appealed the decision and later received a phone call from the Director of Operations, Doug Lee. When I spoke with Doug he told me there was a misunderstanding and that they were reopening my claim and sending the field adjuster back out to my home asap. I specifically asked him, does this means you all are reopening my claim and he stated “yes, what happened to your home was not your fault.” He was very sincere on that call. He also said if you don’t hear from the field adjuster by the next day to give him a call on his Louisiana cell phone. Well I didn’t hear from the adjuster so I called him myself. The adjuster sounded like he knew something that I didn’t and didn’t want to share. He even laughed during our conversation. I asked why was he chuckling and he couldn’t respond. Well I decided to call Doug on his work cellphone and he refused to answer or return my phone calls. I left several voice messages. Yesterday morning I received a call from Doug, but I guess he accidentally butt dialed me. All I could hear was what he was doing in the background. I tried calling back, but no answer. I then sent a text asking him to call me back to give me some clarification on my claim. I received a call from someone else two days after Doug’s call stating that the claim was denied, which left me very confused. This situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. At the end of the day I am a customer and pay my homeowners insurance every year with no problem. A simple phone from Doug would help.

Thomas Mailhot is an unprofessional adjuster who was dishonest to me in person when he visited my home regarding a claim. He then denied me coverage on some technicality and for something I was not responsible for, we bought the home in 2021 and only discovered the issue this year. I took every appropriate and timely action to correct it but I will still have to come out of pocket for 100%. This is what we have homeowners insurance for. He is what is wrong with the insurance industry, he specifically tried to find ways to not provide me coverage. Not only that, he then took no action to inform me or provide any explanation, he just denied my claim in it's entirety. This company and Thomas clearly take pride in screwing home owners, do not do business with him or this company.

My car was in a 4-car accident in which a State Farm policyholder was noted on the police report as hitting my car and another car. I spoke with Hattie Hicklen, an Eberl agent. After she realized that I was not another insurance representative, she said that her client didn’t hit my car. I explained the police report; she said that her client didn’t hit my car. I asked her why didn’t he dispute it so the police report would note it. Hattie told me to ask her client. State Farm did not contract with a good neighbor because Hattie Hicklen of Eberl Claim Services was definitely not there.

This company caused a massive delay in our home repair. After the insurance company approved removing tile, the restoration company sent their demo team out the same day that Eberl sent their adjuster.

The adjuster literally yelled at the demo team telling them not to remove the tile. She was rude, dismissive and arrogant. She said that the tile was not damaged, despite having clear water damage. She said that the water damage was from the rain the day before, when in reality, the water level readings were taken several days earlier.

As a result, the demo team was reluctant to remove the tile that day, and it took another week to get a response indicating that our tile was approved to be removed.

Use a different company if you don't want to end up like we did.

What a terrible company, if I could give -5 stars I would. They consistently send out adjusters to deny claims no matter what the conditions of the property are. Jason Jones ( from Texas) and Darrel (also from Texas) will show you photos of what the damage must look like from other areas of the state and country. They say “if the hail doesn’t look like this my TM (team manager) isn’t approving it and imma be in trouble”. I had State Farm adjusters approve 2 roofs on the same block and then a house on the same block was denied by Eberls. When I told the Eberls adjuster that State Farm had approved the other two roof on that same block he said “oh yeah the company adjusters have more freedom than us and they don’t have a manager watching their backs like we do”!?They show up late and are set up for failure by Eberls managers and policies. What a joke of claim firm. Steer clear and get ready to call in for a re-adjust.

Eberl Claims was sent out by my insurance company after the deracho that hit Iowa. A tree had hit my house and damaged some siding. The adjuster decided to take a sample from the dead center of one of the walls instead of down on an edge. This has made repairing impossible. Taking this piece did more visible damage than the storm did. A little common sense would have saved me a whole lot of pain.

State Farm sent an Eberl adjuster, Daniel Hardin, to come inspect storm damage to my home. He was dismissive, rude, condescending, and dishonest. He stated in front of my contractor and I that something would be covered, but once his estimate arrived, it was not included. When I called him about it, he lied to me and said it was included, when it was very obvious it was not. State Farm was his customer, not me, the homeowner. Get an attorney, and a public adjuster if anyone from this place is sent to adjust a claim for you!

Company is a joke. The adjusters are rude, incompetent, and have an agenda. They stand you up for appointments and don't even show you the respect to honor appointments in any fashion whatsoever. My adjuster rescheduled 3 times and then showed up for a 9:30 appointment at 9:05 I was 10 minutes away and he did not wait nor enter the property ...but did an inspection in a disaster area in 5 minutes...Company is a joke incompetent stooge for insurance company.
