IF YOU DEPEND ON GETTING A VAN THINK TWICE ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY.
I was in desperate need for a van for Wednesday 3rd September. Being in desperate need I rang Enterprise, TorquayTuesday 2nd about 4.30 pm. I spoke to a person called Nathan. He was extremely helpful, took all details that were needed, told me what to bring with me and it was arrange I would pick the van up 8.30am Wednesday. Sorted, well impressed.
THE PROBLEM was on my journey over which was over an hour. I was rung by a young lady from Torquay Enterprise . She in formed me that my van wasn’t available. When I asked why , she said there is just not one available, and I can’t pluck a van out of thin air. Well one was available when Nathan booked it for me!!
The young lady said all bookings go through a call centre and inferred they don’t know what’s available
I personally think this company over books perhaps regularly and dependant on how the bookings go, they let of the less profitable one day hires go. They perhaps run a system as Travel Lodge got caught doing.
I got my Van from CHIEFTAIN, Paignton 1IN THE END.

Genuinely fail to see how this company is still in business. I’m guessing from charging extortionate rates to insurance companies. Second car delivered in two days is embarrassing. First car had engine management light on, required maintenance and stunk of wet dog. Second car delivered today looks like it hasn’t been deep cleaned since new. The dirt is engrained on the doors and inside.
The accident wasn’t my fault and now I am stuck driving this. They should be ashamed sending cars out like this. Unfortunately I have no choice to go elsewhere as it is what my insurance company have selected. Avoid at all costs and go elsewhere

Online service and call center informed they had cars to hire to go to Heathrow. So took a bus and a long Walk to get to the office and they had no cars available… Useless!

Just hired a mazda for the weekend. Staff were very friendly. The lovely lady who looked after me during pickup and drop off was full of smiles and was great with explaining everything. Top customer service thankyou

I regularly rent from another Enterprise branch with no problems and had a one way hire, dropping off in Torquay. Upon arrival the staff member was very aggressive and officious from the start. He started making notes about 'damage ' to the two year old van I was returning even though it was in the same excellent condition as it was when I picked it up 24 hours earlier. I videoed and photographed the vehicle which only made him worse. Having taken advice from the original hire branch I walked away and did not sign for the alleged damage. My deposit was refunded in full by the other branch and I was told by them that he was rude to their assistant manager. BE AWARE!
