Absolutely brilliant. Max has recently helped us purchase our first home. It ended up being a quick process and relatively painless. We went from 'we'll talk to an advisor and see what we can do,' to buying a house in just 4 months. Max is articulate, intelligent but above all unbelievably caring. He genuinely wants to help you and I love the passion he has for helping you take the next step in your life. He applied for lower mortgage rates as soon as possible, explained every key step in the process which the solicitors and agents were somehow failing to do and was available on all platforms whenever we needed him. He has helped us with the relevant insurances and provided us with multiple options after listening to our feedback. Max is brilliant and I can't recommend him enough. Can't speak more highly of Max and his services!

We have used Max as our mortgage advisor and he has been excellent from start to finish.
As first time buyers, not only has he been an excellent mortgage advisor, he has advised us of the process, answered questions along the way (even things that aren't related necessarily to finances, but the general buying process - as first time buyers we had quite a lot of these!), and been amazing at communicating throughout.
He has been on hand via email and WhatsApp and would regularly update us about our progress. He also kept an eye on the market and applied for a reduced interest rate when possible which we are very grateful for. From advising on insurances and getting us competitive and reasonable rates to ensure cover, as well as general financial advice along the way - Max's knowledge and assistance has been unmatched.

We will be recommending him to anyone needing a mortgage advisor in the future and will certainly be using Max again.
Honestly, we can't thank him enough for his support through this whole process!

Max is articulate, diligent, detailed orientated, always available to discuss any questions I had (no matter how trivial the questions were) and is completely focused on getting the best products and offers for his clients.

I was recommended to use Max Waterman at Essex financial planning. Against all odds , Max found me a much better mortgage and from switching from an interest only to repayment, Still managed to bring my monthly payments down !! Max helped me with a re-mortgage in a very relaxed way. He helped with the many on line forms that were needed to be completed. Max also had a vacation during this time, he mentioned that if you were troubled he was willing to help on the telephone.He even mentioned the time of completion which was spot on. When you are exactly unsure of things it’s a help that the person helping with a money situation has a relaxed manner. Would we ask for his help again - definitely.
